“The situation we’re in is very, very difficult. But we’re happy the food has arrived.”

After months of access constraints, Nyakume is among those receiving food assistance from WFP in conflict-affected Upper Nile.

WFP has started emergency airdrops to reach over 40,000 people in the most remote parts of Nasir and Ulang counties, areas only accessible by air.

💔Appeal for witnesses after r**e investigation launched in Sherikat ‼️

There is currently an Appeal for witnesses after r**e investigation launched in Sherikat.

There is currently an increased police presence in Sherikat after officers received a report of a r**e in the early hours of this morning Friday, 27th June

Officers were on scene within the grounds of Sherikat after a report was received that a woman had been r**ed at around 4.30am.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of r**e and remains in police custody.

Inspector General said: “We understand that incidents like this can be unsettling for the community, and I want to provide reassurance that we believe there is no wider risk to the public. The victim is currently being supported received a report of a r**e in the early hours of this morning (Thursday June, 2025 ).



“Following the review of the circulating video footage, there are people passing through the area around the time of the incident that we would like to speak with. You may have seen something suspicious or witnessed part of the incident, but any information you can provide could be valuable to our investigation, and we encourage you to come forward."

If you were in the area around the time of the incident please contact the nearby police station in Sherikat.

Alternatively, if you do not feel comfortable speaking with the police, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity!

✈️Approximately 50 fighter jets struck infrastructure and targets of the Iranian nuclear project in Tehran:

Throughout the night, IAF fighter jets flew over Tehran and struck infrastructure and targets of the Iranian nuclear project, under the guidance of the Intelligence Directorate.
The strike targeted more than 80 objectives, including the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, the headquarters of the nuclear project (SPND) and additional targets where the Iranian regime hid the nuclear archive.

As part of Operation "Rising Lion" the IDF struck over 170 targets and more than 720 military infrastructure components in under three days.

We continue to intensify the blow to the Iranian nuclear threat, targeting its heart and depriving it of critical capabilities and components for weapon production.
