Yesterday 20-09-2025, Minister of Information, Culture,Youths and Sports, Presided the newly Constructed Hall named ( Martyr's Hall) under the leadership of Abyei Youth Union.
The office of Abyei Youth Union under the leadership of Deng Aguer has officially inaugurated the newly constructed hall ( martyrs Hall).
The inauguration was graced by the government officials the line minister Hon. Yohana Akol the minister of information, youth culture and sport, Hon. Minister for peace and reconciliation, Hon. Acting speaker Abyei ligistive council Hon. Piol mathiang, area minister of education Hon. Biong mathok, Hon . First deputy town mayor permount chief, Abyei civil society sg, women and traditional leaders youth association.
The chairperson of Abyei Youth Union ustaz. Deng Aguer appreciates the gathering for tending up in big number to come and attend the inauguration ceremony.
Also Deng clarified the naming of the Hall is dedicated to our martyrs heroes who fall in depending of this land of Abyei we have nothing to gave them but the Hall we remain as memory to our heroes.
deng said thought the building is for the youth but is open to anyone who wanted to conduct an occasion Youth are ready to officer you the Hall.
The civil sg advised the youth to be the peacemaker and also advocate for the girls to participate in youth activities.
The call action underscores the critical young people play in fostering harmonious communities and ensuring inclusivity. By actively promoting peace, youth can bridge divided and prevent conflicts, creating a more stable environment for everyone.
The chairlady of Abyei women Union thanks the leadership of Abyei Youth Union for dedicating the hall to the martyrs.
Also Mrs. Awuor Anyiel emphasizes on girls participation highlights the importance of gender equality in all aspheres of life , the particular in youth -led initives.
Hon. Biong mathok Aguek advised the youth to focus on education and things that can help their living standards rather than Facebooking.
The minister underscored the importance of academic pursuits and skill development as foundational elements for personal and national progress.
He highlighted That while social media can be a tool for communication, excessive use often detracts from more productive endeavours " the advice Comes amidst growing concerns about digital distraction among young people and it's potential impact on their future.
The first deputy town mayor Hon. Dier Nyok emphasized on the community wellbeing urging the youth to embrace a healthier lifestyle and participate in constructive activities.
