Are you ready to unleash your creativity with sound and music? If so, you don’t want to miss this amazing workshop imparted by European Canon, a music band that combines clubbing and punk in a sonic assault. In this workshop, you will learn how to use different software and hardware tools to create and manipulate sound in new and creative ways. You will also design and build your own multi-effects module with Pure Data. This workshop is suitable for anyone who is interested in music making and sound experimentation, regardless of their level of experience. Here are some of the details of the workshop:
Content: The workshop is divided into two days, each one focusing on a different aspect of sound creation and manipulation.
Day 1: Resampling, sound design and intuitive songwriting using Ableton Live and Max for Live. You will learn how to use Ableton Live and Max for Live as powerful tools for resampling, sound design and intuitive songwriting. You will also learn some tips and tricks from European Canon on how they create their music.
Day 2: Digital processing for audio, creating a multi-effects module with PureData and Raspberry Pi. You will learn how to use PureData as a graphical programming environment for creating audio effects. You will also design and implement a multi-effects module with chorus, delay and reverb effects using PureData. You will also create a touch interface for controlling the parameters of the effects using PureData and a touch screen.
