The Salah Effect.
Mohamed salah travelled to England to change his life, he changed an entire city! According to a study by Standford university that coined the expression “The Salah Effect”, after he joined Liverpool, hate crimes and Islamophobia tweets drastically decreased.
The explanation is due to “Parasocial Relationships”where people think they know a celebrity enough and when they do, it can change their entire mindset about the group of people s/he belongs to.
This is all thanks to the simple fact that Mo Salah didn’t try to fit in by changing who he is, he kept his Arab and Muslim identity as he shined. Then, he effortlessly made a difference by focusing on success.
