Rest in power, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.

Tonight, Uganda lost one of its most remarkable cultural leaders. King Oyo ascended the throne of the Tooro Kingdom in 1995 at just three years old, becoming the youngest reigning monarch in the world. He carried that title for three decades: from a child on the throne to a global symbol of Uganda’s living royal heritage.

His reign was defined by quiet, sustained purpose: education, healthcare, environmental protection, and youth empowerment across the Tooro Kingdom.

At 2Sistars Media, we exist to hold and honor African stories. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family, the Batooro people, and all of Uganda in this loss.

Alex Mukulu gave Uganda a mirror and a megaphone.
A fearless storyteller, a cultural pillar, a man who turned theatre into truth-telling. His work challenged, comforted, and awakened a nation.

May his legacy live on in every artist he inspired and every story he dared us to confront.

2Sistars Media is calling on all Ugandan writers, poets, and storytellers to share their work for an upcoming anthology dedicated to reshaping the narrative of Africa.

Whether your style involves village scandals, sharp humor, fantasy worlds, thrillers, heartbreaking romance, or shocking twists—all genres are completely welcome. We want unforgettable stories that move people.

Submission Guidelines & Compensation:

Poems: Must not exceed 40 lines. (Compensation: UGX 50,000 for each accepted poem).

Short Stories: Must not exceed 3,000 words. (Compensation: UGX 50 per word for each accepted story).
