Shortz is an online platform for watching short films with monthly subscription payment such as Netflix, the monthly payment for each user will be 3$ per month and selections for Short films would be made outside of the website by a random group of film's submitters with rating from 1 to 10 for each film. for example, like 50 different filmmakers would be asked to rate a number of submitted films. in order guarantee a good quality for our content constantly, film with points up to 400 would be added to our platform. each added film can gain a profit for it's makers based on how many views achieved on website monthly. in addition to a general 50% monthly profit shared between each project based on it's views count. other 50% would be invested in marketing, fees and evolving our platform.
simply aiming to gather all kinds of short films screened around the world, specially those which have been submitted to international film festivals like Venice, canne, Toronto, sundance and Malmo, in one-of-a-kind online platform. greater aim is to widely spread watching that kind of films worldwide. our ultimate aim is through out that gathering, we can initiate production of so many short films with different aspects.
your contributions will help us create that communication between ambitious filmmakers from around the world, who's seeking their opportunity to express their efforts on the screen after screening their short films in film festivals. short films lifetime in film festivals is only two years. by your contributions, you are helping to give those short films to continue inspiring people around the world after its done with film festivals. your contributions is always much appreciated.
What We Need & What You Get
your funding and contributions will be invested in 3 main phases (Total budget 37.000 $) :
Creating website : basically launching our website and mobile app simultaneously and constructing its levels from web designing, buying its domain and buying its online storage space (estimated 15.000 $).
Collecting Short films : that phase is based on a whole researching team working on getting in touch with filmmakers from around the world, telling them about our platform and its concept and convincing them to participate in such a great opportunity with their short films (estimated 10.000 $).
Platform marketing : by that phase, we aim to reach as many as subscribers we can and start to gain more folks all over the world. which by, god willing, we will be able to achieve our main goals previously referred to and let people know more about that type of films. (estimated 12.000 $).
simplicity! we managed to get "Shortz" Logo printed on T-shirts, in a way to get popular and to start gaining more support. if you want to support our idea, you can order our T-shirt online. we would be happy !
We shall never stop. in case we didn't get our funding target, we will also start working on our first step mentioned above. and we will take it up from there.
