مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي ينعى سيدة المسرح العربي سميحة أيوب
ببالغ الحزن، ينعي المهرجان الفنانة الكبيرة سميحة أيوب التي رحلت اليوم بعد مسيرة فنية امتدت لعقود، شكّلت خلالها علامة فارقة في تاريخ الفن العربي. تاركة أثرًا لا يمحى في قلوب أجيال تربّت على أعمالها وشخصيتها الرفيعة.
وصرّح الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس المهرجان، قائلًا: "رحلت الفنانة العظيمة سميحة أيوب، ولكنها ستبقى بيننا بما قدّمته للفن من أدوار خالدة وتجارب ملهِمة. كانت إنسانة وفنانة من طراز نادر، جمعت بين القوة والنعومة، وبين الصرامة والحنان، وكانت طوال الوقت رمزًا للمرأة المصرية القوية المثقفة. فقدنا قامة فنية كبيرة، ورفيقة مشوار، وأمًّا روحية لكثير من الفنانين. رحمها الله رحمة واسعة."
رحم الله الفقيدة، وألهمنا جميعًا الصبر والسكينة.

Cairo International Film Festival Mourns the Lady of Arab Theatre, Samiha Ayoub
With deep sorrow, the Cairo International Film Festival mourns the passing of the great actress Samiha Ayoub, who left us today after a remarkable artistic journey that spanned decades. Throughout her career, she was a defining figure in the history of Arab art, leaving an indelible mark on generations who were raised on her works and inspired by her noble character.

Hussein Fahmy, President of the Festival, stated:

"The great artist Samiha Ayoub has passed away, but she will always remain with us through the unforgettable roles and inspiring experiences she brought to the world of art. She was a rare kind of human and artist — a unique blend of strength and softness, of discipline and compassion. She was always a symbol of the strong, cultured Egyptian woman. We have lost a towering artistic figure, a lifelong companion, and a spiritual mother to many artists. May she rest in eternal peace."

May her soul rest in peace, and may we all find strength and solace in this time of loss.

🎬 استقبال حافل لفيلم "عين حارة" في مهرجان كان 78
لمشروع فيلم «عين حارة» للمخرج العراقي ياسر كريم الذي يمثل مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي في مبادرة «Fantastic 7»، التي تُقام ضمن فعاليات مهرجان كان السينمائي 2025، التي يتم تنظيمها بالتعاون بين سوق مهرجان «كان» ومهرجان «سيتجس» لأفلام النوع.
انطلق العرض التقديمي بكلمة من الناقد محمد سيد عبد الرحيم، مدير أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما، الذي أشار إلى مشاركة الفيلم سابقًا ضمن فعاليات الملتقى، ثم تحدث المخرج ياسر كريم والمنتج أوس اللامي، وسط استقبال حافل من الحضور من المستثمرين ووكلاء التوزيع وعشاق سينما النوع.

🎬 A Grand Reception for "Evil Eye" at the 78th Cannes Film Festival
The Iraqi film project "Evil Eye", directed by Yasser Karim and representing Cairo International Film Festival in the Fantastic 7 initiative, received a warm welcome at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The initiative is organized in collaboration between the Cannes Film Market and the Sitges Festival of genre films.
The presentation began with a speech by critic Mohamed Said Abdel Rahim, Head of Cairo Industry Days, who highlighted the film's previous participation in the Forum. It was followed by remarks from director Yasser Karim and producer Aws Allami, in front of an enthusiastic audience of investors, distributors, and fans of genre cinema.

🎬 صناع الأفلام العرب الصاعدون يجتمعون في الجناح المصري بمهرجان كان 78

أدار الناقد محمد سيد عبد الرحيم، مدير ايام القاهرة لصناعة السينما، جلسة نقاشية مهمة بعنوان "الموجة الجديدة: تسليط الضوء على صانعي الأفلام العرب الصاعدين".

ركزت الجلسة على استعراض مساهمات الجيل الجديد من صناع الأفلام العرب في إعادة تشكيل السينما العربية. شارك في هذه الجلسة:

مراد مصطفى، مخرج فيلم "عائشة لا تستطيع الطيران" المعروض في كان 2025.

أحمد عامر، المشارك في إنتاج كل من فيلم "عائشة لا تستطيع الطيران" وفيلم "كان ياما كان في غزة" والذي يعرض أيضًا في كان 2025.

ميشيل كسرواني، الحائزة على جائزة الدب الذهبي لأفضل فيلم قصير في مهرجان برلين 2023.

🎬 Emerging Arab Filmmakers Gather at Egyptian Pavilion During Cannes 78

Critic Mohamed Said Abdel Rahim, Head of Cairo Industry Days, led an important discussion session titled "The New Wave: Highlighting Emerging Arab Filmmakers."

The session focused on showcasing the contributions of the new generation of Arab filmmakers in reshaping Arab cinema. Those who participated in this session included:

- Murad Mustafa, director of the film "Aisha Can't Fly Away" showcased at Cannes 2025.

- Ahmed Amer, who participated in the production of "Aisha Can't Fly Away" as well as in the production of the Palestinian film "Once Upon a Time in Gaza", which is being screened at Cannes 2025.

- Michelle Keserwany, winner of the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin Festival 2023.

- Leila Basma, director of the film "Salt of the Sea," which participated in the Venice Festival 2023.

- Tawfik Alzaidi, director of "Norah", the first Saudi film to participate in Cannes 2024.

🎥 حسين فهمي من قلب كان السينمائي: بدأنا ننهض من جديد

في جلسة مميزة ضمن فعاليات مهرجان كان، شارك النجم الكبير حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، في ندوة "مصر: دولة الأفلام الجماهيرية في العالم العربي" مؤكدًا أن السينما المصرية تعيش مرحلة انتعاش جديدة، وقال:
"لدينا الآن مخرجون وكتّاب وممثلون ومصورون مميزون.. والمشاركة المصرية في مهرجان كان هذا العام دليل واضح أننا بدأنا ننهض من جديد".

كما أشاد بروح الشباب التي تسود مهرجان القاهرة، وأكد أن المنافسة مع مهرجانات مثل الجونة صحية وتحفز الصناعة.
