Now that I have known that moments of pain
Showed me that whatever you gain
In this worldly life is nothing but vain
Except for good words and acts of kindness
That you have done to others in moments of need
Believe me those are the only remnants indeed.

Believe me those are the only remnants indeed
That you will find in the Hereafter while tenderness
Of your heart makes it beat with fear and worry.
About your destination if it will be sad or merry.

Now that I have known that moments of pain
Taught me not to waste my time again.
It's unbelievable to dispense with sunlight
For the sake of a candle used only at night.
