Olympiastadion is located in Olympiapark München and is easily accessible by public transportation.

With an original capacity of 80,000, the stadium can currently host just shy of 70,000 people. Since being the center of the 1972 Olympics, it has hosted several football matches and high profile concerts.

もともとは8万人収容の会場でしたが、今は7万人弱の収容人数になっています。1972年のミュンヘンオリンピックのメイン会場として使用されて以降、サッカーの試合や有名アーティストのコンサートなどが行われています。

スタジアム内は自由に歩き回って見学することが可能です。入場料は大人3.50ユーロです。

A scorching hot dead alien landscape in Death Valley.
灼熱のデスバレー、まるで異星のような絶景ポイント

Located a little over two hours from Las Vegas, Zabriskie Point Badlands viewpoint is on the California side, in Death Valley.

It was extremely hot when I visited, over 40°C (105°F). The Zabriskie Point parking lot is easily accessible from highway 190. The walk up to the top is not very steep and takes less than ten minutes.

The views from Zabriskie Point are stunning. The erosional landscape is truly alien-like and is composed of sediments from five million years ago.

You need a National Parks Annual Pass or pay the entrance fee to access Zabriskie Point.

ザブリスキーポイント – デスバレー VR 3D 180°60fps (アメリカ)

ラスベガスから車を走らせ2時間ほど、ザブリスキーポイントバッドランズ展望台はデスバレー国立公園内のカリフォルニア州側にあります。

私が行ったときは摂氏40℃を超える猛烈な暑さでした。ザブリスキーポイントの駐車場はハイウェイ190沿いにあり、すぐに見つけることができます。展望台までは緩やかな坂で、10分弱で歩いて簡単に上ることがで
きます。

ザブリスキーポイントからの眺めはとても素晴らしいです。浸食よってできたまるで異星のような風景は、5百万年以上前の堆積物で構成されています。

ザブリスキーポイントはデスバレー国立公園内にあるため、アクセスには年間パスまたは入場料が必要です。

A singing tower on top of one of tallest hills in Florida.

Bok Tower Gardens is located in Lake Wales, Florida. It is a perfect destination for a day trip if you are visiting Orlando. There is an admission fee for each occupant in your vehicle. As of February 2021, the fees are as follows: Adult admission is $15, Children (ages 5-12) $5, children under 5 are free, Dogs are $5. Currently all visitors are required to wear masks.

Initially built as a bird sanctuary by Edward W. Bok and his wife Mary Louise Curtis Bok, the main attraction is The Singing Tower. The tower with carillon bells is 62m (205 ft) tall and is located on Iron Hill, which at 90m (295 ft) above sea level is one of the tallest hills in Florida.

The tower was built between 1927-1929. It was dedicated by President Calvin Coolidge. A moat with Koi surrounds it.

The Bok Tower Gardens also features a huge 100 ha (250-arce) garden, the Pine Ridge Trail and Pinewood Estate. The estate features a twenty room mansion built between 1930-1932.

The Bok Tower is a National Historic Landmark.

ボクタワーガーデンはフロリダ州レイクウェールズにあります。オーランドから日帰り旅行に最適な場所です。2021年2月時点での入場料は大人1名15ドル、子供 (5～12歳)1名 5ドル、5歳以下の子供は無料、犬は5ドルです。現時点では入場者のマスク着用は義務になっています。

エドワード・W.・ボクと妻のメアリー ・ルイーズ・ ボクによりもともとは鳥の憩いの場所として建てられました。メインのアトラクションは何と言ってもカリヨンベルのある歌う塔です。塔の高さは62メートルで、海抜90メートルのアイロンヒルに建てられていて、これはフロリダでもっとの高い丘の一つです。

この塔は1927～1929年に建設されました。当時の大統領であるカルビン・クーリッジにより捧げられました。周りは鯉のたくさんいるお堀に囲まれています。

ボクタワーガーデンには100ヘクタールの庭園もあり、パイン・リッジ・トレイルとパイン・ウッド邸宅があります。この邸宅は20部屋ある豪邸で、1930～1932年の間に建設されました。

ボクタワーはアメリカ合衆国国定歴史建造物に指定されています。

Seven colorful stone totems in the desert just outside Las Vegas.

ラスベガス近郊の砂漠に突如として現れるカラフルな石柱アート作品。

A short drive from Las Vegas, just off I-15 you'll find the Seven Magic Mountains. There's a dirt parking lot and you can walk up to the exhibit.

These 10 meter (30 foot) stone totems are the work of Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. They are co-produced by Nevada Museum of Art and Art Production Fund. Each one is colored differently and they are made from local boulders.

The exhibit is permitted to remain in the desert until the end of 2021.

ラスベガスからI-15を南に向かいほどなくして、セブンマジックマウンテンがあります。舗装されていない駐車場があり、そこに車を止めて展示作品まで歩きます。

高さ約10メートルの石柱アートはスイス人アーティスト、ウーゴ・ロンディノーネによる作品です。ネバダ美術館とアート・プロダクション・ファンドによる協賛により作られました。一つ一つの石柱は様々な色に彩られ、地元で採れた岩でできています。

この作品の展示許可は2021年年末までとなっています。

Every inch of this formerly shady back alley is covered in graffiti.

どこもかしこも落書きで埋め尽くされている裏路地、グラフィティアレー。

Graffiti artists face fines and jail time in Maryland. This formerly crime ridden alley was bought in 2005 by Graffiti Warehouse. It has since been transformed into an area where graffiti artists can paint the walls without fear of arrest.

The walls are constantly painted over. I visited in late November 2020, and this video represents what it looked like then.

Although Graffiti Alley can look suspicious in pictures, it actually attracts tourists and even families with small children.

Graffiti Alley is located in the Station North Arts and Entertainment District of Baltimore.

メリーランド州ではグラフィティアーティストたちは罰金が科されたり留置所入りの可能性があります。以前は落書きによる犯罪の多発地帯となっていたこの路地は、2005年にグラフィティウエアハウスという団体によって購入され、アーティストたちは逮捕される恐れなく自由にアートを表現できる場になりました。

壁も地面も常に新しい落書きで上書きされていきます。このビデオに映っている映像は、私が訪れた2020年11月のものです。

写真で見るとどうも危ない場所に見えてしまいますが、実際には観光客や小さな子供を連れた家族連れが訪れる撮影映えスポットとなっています。

グラフィティアレーはボルティモアのステーション・ノース・アーツ・アンド・エンターテインメント・ディストリクトにあります。

Calico Ghost Town Halloween unlike any other.

カリフォルニアのゴーストタウン、キャリコで過ごす唯一無二のハロウィーン。

Calico was founded in 1881 as a silver mining town. It was abandoned less than 20 years later. It has since been restored and has received a State Historical Landmark.

There is a big Halloween celebration here every year. For understandable reasons, this year's festivities were much more subdued.

I toured the town and checked out old dwellings and mines in the nearby desert.

The shops and restaurants are open, but the attractions, such as the railroad, are not.

This is a really fun, family friendly, place and I highly recommend it.

The entrance fee as of October, 2020 is $8 per person.

Calico Ghost Town is easily accessible from I-15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. You do not need a 4x4 to access the parking lot.

モハーヴェ砂漠にあるゴーストタウン、キャリコは1881年に銀鉱山として設立されましたが、20年も経たぬうちに廃墟となりました。のちに街は復元され、カリフォルニア州の歴史的ランドマークとして登録されました。

本来であれば例年盛大なハロウィーンのイベントがあるのですが、残念ながら今年は中止になっています。

街を歩き、銀の鉱山や労働者が住んでいた当時の建物を見て回りました。

お店やレストランは営業していましたが、鉱山列車などのアトラクションは閉鎖されています。

家族で訪れるのにも最適なとっても楽しい場所です。

2020年10月現在入場料は大人一人当たり8ドルです。

キャリコ・ゴーストタウンはフリーウェイI-15沿いにあり、ロサンゼルスやラスベガスから簡単に行くことができます。駐車場に行くのに四駆の自動車は必要ではありません。

Hike to the largest tree in the world as the sun sets.

夕日の沈むハイキングトレイルを歩き、世界一大きな木を見に行きます。

The world's largest tree measured by volume, General Sherman Tree, is located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park. It is a giant sequoia that is between 2300 - 2700 years old.

It is 83.8m (275 ft) tall with a diameter of 11m (36 ft) at the base.

You need to have a pass to enter Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. You can use an annual pass or purchase a pass. In October 2020 the fee for a single vehicle is $35.

You don't need a 4x4, you can get to the Sherman Tree Trail in a regular car. The roads leading up are winding but well maintained. Please be advised that after dark, you will have to drive in the dark.

The main trail starts off Wolverton Road (between the Sherman Tree and Lodgepole.) It is relatively easy both ways. Keep in mind that it is at an elevation of 2093m (6867 ft). The hike is about 800m (half a mile) and uphill on the way back.

There is also a separate parking area for people with disabilities, that is much closer to the General Sherman Tree.

シャーマン将軍の木は、世界一体積の大きい木であると考えられています。セコイア国立公園のジャイアントフォレストにあるこのセコイアの木は、おそらく2300～2700年ほどの樹齢であるとされています。

この木の高さは83.3m、根本部分の最大直径は11mです。

セコイア＆キングスキャニオン国立公園に入るには入場券が必要です。年間パスを利用するか、または入場券を現地で買うことができます。2020年10月の時点で車一台当たりの入場券は35ドルです。

シャーマンツリートレイルに向かうのに四駆の車は必要ではありません。普通の車で行くことができます。途中の道は少し曲がりくねっていますが、きれいに整備されているので問題ないです。ただし、日没後は完全に真っ暗な道を走ることになるので、ご注意ください。

ハイキングトレイルはWolverton Roadから始まります。往復ともそんなにきつくはありませんが、標高が2000m以上あるので、少し息が切れている人もいました。シャーマン将軍の木まではおよそ800mのトレイルで、復路が上り坂になります。

メインの駐車場とは別に体の不自由な人用の駐車場があり、そこからはシャーマン将軍の木は歩いてすぐです。

Impressive views of Lake Paijanne from a 19th century observation tower.

19世紀に建てられた展望台から臨むパイヤンネ湖の素晴らしい眺め

Päijätsalo Observation Tower is located in the Päijänne National Park. It was built in the 1800s and I was lucky enough to capture it in VR before it was to be renovated.

The park is located about 7km (4 miles) from the town of Sysmä. It is a relatively easy hike to the tower from the dedicated (free) parking area. The trail is classified as intermediate.

The first thing you notice is just how incredibly quiet it is. In fact, my microphones had trouble picking up any sounds at all.

パイヤッツァロ展望台 VR 360°(フィンランド)

パイヤッツァロ展望台はパイヤンネ国立公園内にあります。1800年代に建てられ、今後改装工事が始まるそうです。その前にVRで撮影ができて良かったです。

パイヤンネ国立公園はシュスマの街から7キロほど離れたところにあります。無料の専用駐車場からのハイキングはそんなにきつくないですが、トレイル自体は中級者向けとされています。

とにかくこの場所の静けさには圧倒されます。録音マイクはなんの音も拾ってくれず、かえって困ってしまいました。

タワー頂上から見える景色は本当に素晴らしいです。

Built in 1961 as a luxury building, Chungking Mansions eventually degraded into a place filled with crime, drugs, undocumented immigrants and guest houses.

I shot this video on January 26th, 2020. It was the second day of the year of the rat. The annual parade was cancelled this year. Many shops and restaurants were also closed.

Located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, on the Kowloon side, Chungking Mansions consists of seven blocks and is home to around 4000 people and countless travelers.

Home to a large number of South Asians, Africans, Middle Eastern People and Westerners, Chungking Mansions offers excellent and affordable ethnic dining and shopping.

Chungking Mansions was home to all sorts of crime, but has had a makeover in recent years and is not as shady as it used to be. The deteriorating front facade has been replaced and the building looks a lot newer than it did 25 years ago.

There are hundreds of surveillance cameras that have been installed since 2003.

1961年の建設時には豪華なマンションとして建てられましたが、次第に犯罪、ドラッグ、不法移民、そして安宿であふれる建物に成り果てました。

このビデオは2020年1月26日に撮影したものです。子年の旧正月2日目でした。毎年恒例のパレードは中止に、そしてお店やレストランのほとんども閉まっていました。

香港の九龍側の尖沙咀にあるチョンキンマンションは、7つのブロックから成っていて、4000人の人々が暮らし、数えきれないほどの旅行者が滞在しています。

多くの南アジア人、アフリカ人、中東人、そして欧米人が滞在しており、激安で美味しいエスニックフードの食堂や、お手頃な値段で商品を買うことのできるお店がたくさんあります。

チョンキンマンションは以前は多くの犯罪の温床となっていましたが、近年ではすっかり改善され、以前ほど怪しい雰囲気ではなくなりました。建物の正面の外観はすっかりきれいになり、25年前に比べると今のほうが新しく見えます。

また、2003年からは数百台という数多くの監視カメラも稼働しています。

香港で最も興味深い場所の一つです。

A Buddhist temple featuring four large statues of standing Buddhas each facing a cardinal direction.

本堂内に東西南北それぞれの方向を向いた過去四仏が安置されている仏教寺院。

One of Bagan's best known temples, the Ananda Temple was built in 1105 during the Pagan Dynasty. There are four 9.5m (~31 feet) statues of Buddha, each facing a different direction: north, east, south and west.

The temple is very well preserved, even though it suffered major damage during an earthquake in 1975.

The Ananda Temple has a symmetrical structure. There is a beautiful gilded top called sikhara at the center of the building. The structure is 51m (~167 feet) tall.

There are also about 1500 stone sculptures located in the hallways.

バガンの最も有名な寺院の一つ、アーナンダ寺院はパガン王朝時代の1105年に完成しました。

1975年の地震で大きな被害を受けましたが、今ではきれいに修復されています。

アーナンダ寺院はシンメトリカルな構造になっています。頂部には 黄金のとても美しい”シカラ（sikhara）”があります。建物はおよそ51mの高さです。

また、寺院内の通路には1500体ほどの石像が並べられています。
