Miw Animation Studio is currently hiring for the role of Studio Manager / Production Manager to lead the daily operations of our animation production team.

We’re looking for a highly organized and experienced professional who thrives in creative environments and understands the unique rhythm of animation production.
This is a key leadership role for someone ready to help shape outstanding animated content in a collaborative studio setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all production processes, workflows, and deliverables for the animation department
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio, including schedules, budgets, and team coordination
• Develop and track production plans, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
• Communicate regularly with Producers, Technical Supervisors, and Creative Leads to provide production updates
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of production and animation staff
• Mentor team members and foster a positive, supportive work culture
• Maintain organized production documentation, schedules, databases, meeting notes, and follow-ups
• Lead production meetings and ensure accountability on all action items
• Facilitate smooth transitions between departments and resolve workflow challenges
• Promote a solutions-oriented and collaborative environment within the team

Requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in managing animation productions or creative studio operations
• Deep understanding of animation pipelines (especially 2D), production stages, and team dynamics
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines and across multiple projects
• Proactive, solution-driven, and collaborative
• Familiarity with production tracking tools is a plus

Junior 2D Traditional Animator – We’re Hiring!

We’re looking for a Junior 2D Traditional Animator to join our team for an exciting upcoming production at Miw Animation Studio.

In-house position — Cairo, Egypt

Responsibilities
• Animate assigned scenes in line with the production’s quality and visual style, and deliver on schedule.
• Use and adapt available assets creatively to build scenes — and find smart solutions when assets are missing.
• Collaborate closely with the Animation team to ensure visual consistency and alignment with the director’s vision.

Requirements
• Strong grasp of animation principles, with the ability to apply them fluidly.
• Proven skills in walk cycles, lip sync, and character timing.
• Solid understanding of anatomy and perspective.
• Excellent drawing skills are essential.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Able to work collaboratively and take feedback constructively.
• High attention to detail and a professional work ethic.
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
• Experience with Toon Boom Harmony (a plus).
• Proficiency in English (a strong plus).

Junior Storyboard Artist and Revisionist – We’re Hiring!

We are currently hiring for the role of a Junior Storyboard Artist and Revisionist for one of our exciting upcoming productions at Miw Animation Studio.

In-house position — Cairo, Egypt

Responsibilities
• Work with and under the guidance of the Director and Storyboard Supervisor to illustrate the story, plan shots, and draw panels.
• Redraw existing storyboards according to the Director’s notes.
• Maintain style, quality, and continuity throughout all storyboard work.
• Collaborate with the team, while also being able to work independently.
• Follow direction and feedback from supervisors and the director.
• Meet deadlines as assigned by production management.

Requirements
• Great attention to detail to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Strong drawing and composition skills.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy and perspective.
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of camera work and shot design.
• Capable of working efficiently under time constraints while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Able to draw on-model, with a good grasp of structure and proportions.
• Must be able to draw dynamic action/adventure poses.
• Knowledge of Toon Boom Storyboard Pro (an asset).
• Working proficiency in English.

A campaign of 6 episodes that we are working on - Sponsored by the UNFPA to spread awareness about women’s rights in Egypt.

"She and the Social Norms" is the title of the first episode. It emphasises detrimental behaviours, traditions, and cultural norms that have an impact on the female population, with a focus on the cultural challenges that Egyptian girls and women face in the society.

Nominated as one of the animated films that will be screened at Animatex Egypt in the category of commissioned films.

PRODUCTION MANAGER JOB OPPORTUNITY

Miw Animation Studio - Cairo, Egypt is currently hiring for the role of Production Manager!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all processes, procedures, and outputs for the animation department.
