Attention, ocean enthusiasts and diving community! 🐠🐟 We invite you to join AI 4 Ocean's mission to protect marine life using cutting-edge AI technology, and we need your invaluable contributions!

We are currently collecting images of White Tip Sharks to support our AI-driven research and conservation efforts. Your photographs will play a crucial role in our project, aiding in the identification and understanding of these magnificent creatures.

What we need from you:
High-Quality Images of White Tip Sharks: Specifically, we need clear images where the dorsal fin is visible from the side.

Multiple Images Per Dive Site and Date: Feel free to upload several images from each dive if you have more than one photo to share!

How to Submit Your Images:
Please submit your images along with the dive details through our easy-to-use Google Form 👇👇. The form will guide you to provide the Date of the dive, the Country, and the Dive Site, and allow you to upload your images.

Volunteer Opportunities at AI 4 Ocean

About AI 4 Ocean: AI 4 Ocean is an innovative project aimed at leveraging machine learning models to serve the marine conservation domain. Our project focuses on the development of a web and mobile application to assist in the identification of various marine species, including corals, sharks, individual white tip sharks, manta rays, and fish species. We are currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to contribute to this groundbreaking effort in marine biodiversity preservation.

Volunteer Roles:
1. Data Research and Collection Volunteers
• Responsibilities: Collaborate with marine biologists and divers to collect underwater images; assist in data organization and management.
• Requirements: Interest in marine biology, basic understanding of data management, ability to work collaboratively.

2. Machine Learning Assistants
• Responsibilities: Support the development and testing of machine learning models; assist in data labeling and preprocessing.
• Requirements: Basic knowledge of machine learning and AI; familiarity with Python or similar programming languages is a plus.

3. App Development Support
• Responsibilities: Assist in developing and testing the web and mobile applications; contribute to UI/UX design and backend development.
