There lived a man who never spoke to anyone around him. He never greeted his neighbours, never joined in estate meetings, and never even smiled at the children who played outside his gate. He lived quietly, came and went without a word, and no one knew much about him.
Then one day, he stopped coming out. His curtains remained drawn, and his gate untouched. But nobody noticedโnot his next-door neighbour, not the caretaker, not even the shopkeeper he used to pass silently.
It wasnโt until two years later that a concerned friend from far away decided to check on him. What he found was heartbreaking. The man had died alone in his house. His body had decomposed. For two years , he lay there, unnoticed.
Lesson:
Donโt wait until itโs too late. Always check on the people around you. Say hello. Ask how someone is doing. Build a connection.
