I am Irishman living in Spain and returning home in a few months to look after my elderly mother and her husband.I have a family with 3 kids and I worry about returning to a land that is ruled by dictators and EU led bureaucrats.Every time I go home I see huge differences in the cost of living and it is becoming really difficult for people to survive.
Before people comment please keep it respectful and helpful.
No hate or disrespect towards others. We need to work together on this. You don’t have to do anything but if you would like to, this is one way of doing it.
Ireland is in a serious cost of living crisis.
People are struggling with rent, groceries, fuel, electricity, childcare — and for many, it feels like everyday life is getting harder while nothing really changes.
There is growing frustration across the country and a real sense that ordinary people are not being heard by those making decisions in Dublin.
That frustration is now building political pressure in the Dáil, especially on independent TD’s who may play a key role in any upcoming no-confidence vote.
If you feel strongly about the cost of living crisis, don’t stay silent. Contact your TD’s and make your voice heard directly.
Here is a message you can copy and send to your local TD:All emails below.
Dear TD,
I am writing to you as a concerned constituent about the ongoing cost of living crisis in Ireland.
Many people in my community are struggling with rising costs for housing, food, energy, and basic living expenses. Despite government measures, life is becoming increasingly unaffordable for ordinary households.
I am asking you to take this situation seriously and reflect the concerns of the people you represent.
I also ask you to consider your position in any upcoming confidence or no-confidence vote in the Dáil, and to vote in a way that reflects the urgent need for change and accountability.
People are losing faith that their concerns are being heard, and action is needed.
Sincerely,[Your Name]
