This new edit was born from a vision deeply influenced by the UK sound, transforming the original essence of the track into something more dancefloor-oriented.

There are two versions of the same track: one that keeps a large part of the original vocals, and a dub version.

Radiohead has always been an inevitable reference for me. This is not about replacing anything, but about moving that emotion somewhere else. A small tribute to those who have given me so much.

Thaddeus X presents “Midnight Sky / Midday Haze,” a two-track EP rooted in deep house, warmth, emotion, and a quiet sense of movement.

The release finds Thaddeus X exploring a more introspective side of the dance floor. Both tracks share a dreamy identity, built around slow development, subtle detail, and an atmosphere tied to travel, memory, and inner motion.

While traces of contemporary afro house appear in the percussion and melodic phrasing, the heart of the EP remains connected to emotional, atmospheric deep house. “Midnight Sky” and “Midday Haze” are designed to breathe, unfold, and create space, with a hypnotic pulse that invites listeners into a more reflective state.

“Laika” is a techno house set built from a deeply underground vision, far removed from obvious and commercial formulas.

The mix moves through hypnotic textures and minimalist grooves. The digging work behind this selection led me to explore sounds and references that I consider especially unique and personal.
Throughout the set, classic references coexist with contemporary sounds, always maintaining a sober and elegant character, with an influence that at times approaches the Detroit sound. Among the selection are three original productions by Thaddeus X - “Arpanet”, “Laika” and “Zero Gravity”, still unreleased, reinforcing the personal identity of this journey.

The set takes its name from “Laika”, the famous dog from the former USSR who became the first living being to travel into space. Like her, I hope this sonic journey can transport you toward new horizons.

There are joys that I still struggle to put into words.

Today I once again feel incredibly happy knowing that “Nassau (Mihai Popoviciu Remix)” was included by John Digweed in episode 1133 of Transitions.

Being part of a Transitions episode will always feel like a huge privilege to me. It’s one of those spaces that deeply shaped the way I listen to, understand and love electronic music through the years. Seeing my music connected once again with that universe is something that truly moves me.

This release also carries a very special meaning for me because I had the honor of having such an incredible artist as reinterpret “Nassau”. His sensitivity, identity and musical elegance took the track to a truly unique place.

Very happy to share “Club Safari”, my new release on Emerald & Doreen, featuring a very special remix by Lauer.

For me, it’s a true honor to have the vision and reinterpretation of an artist with such a solid and respected trajectory within the electronic music scene. Over the years, Lauer has built a unique musical language, combining melodic sensitivity, elegance, and a distinctive sonic identity within indie dance and italodisco.

His version of “Club Safari” takes the track into a different dimension, maintaining the original energy while bringing a completely new depth and atmosphere.

There are moments that never lose their magic.

I feel deeply grateful to see my track “The Calling (Dubbed Mix)” selected by John Digweed for episode 1132 of Transitions.

Even though this great honor has happened before, the feeling remains exactly the same: I’m overwhelmed with emotion and feel deeply inspired and motivated. John has been one of the artists I’ve admired the most throughout my journey, so seeing my music connected in some way with his vision and his sets is something I truly value.
