Q: How do you rate today's match?
A: The match was not easy, especially in the first half. We did not play at our level, this is not the passing quality we have. We lost many balls too easily and therefore we always gave them an option and a chance to attack. The second half was much better, we controlled the match and then the 2-1 lead was perfect. The second half was a really great game from our side, we controlled everything and I was much calmer on the sideline.
Q: What did you tell the players at halftime?
A: It was a difficult match especially in the first half, we lost the ball many times in an easy way and this is not our usual level nor the standards we set for ourselves. We had to make things much better in the second half and that's what happened.
Q: You can't always win by five goals, and this type of match helps the team, right?
A: Come on, we played away from home and I am happy. Last season we lost here 4-1 and this season we won 3-1 and I think we can be happy with this result.
Q: What do you ask from Raphinha? Does his level surprise you?
A: For a long time I wasn't working as a head coach and when I saw Raphinha for the first time I said wow, what a player. I am not surprised by what he offers because he is a unique player just like Lamine, Lamine is also incredible. Raphinha has the dynamism and has everything that fits the way we want to play. Today you could also see that the final pass was always played perfectly and that's why he can score goals and I am very happy about that.
Q: Raphinha is playing as a number 9, will he continue in this position?
A: Raphinha gives us a lot and his dynamism is at the highest level, he is also good without the ball. Today also the team gave him the final pass and he took advantage of it for us. In the end the decision is always for the coaches, we discuss who can play in this position and then we also talk with the players and I think after these numbers and after these eight matches he is very happy to play as a number 9.
Q: Raphinha is about to renew until 2030 and Deco announced the news, what is your evaluation?
A: I think for the club it is the best decision. When you also see how connected he is with the fans and with the team, I think he is an ideal leader for this team and this club and he gives everything, especially this season what he offers is incredible.
Q: How do you describe Pedri's performance with and without the ball?
A: For me he is a great player and he is very important for us. I think he controlled everything. But when we have the ball it is also good sometimes to slow down the game a bit and this helps to give more calmness to our positional play. He also communicates very well with others and also with the center backs.
Q: Christensen, how is he after the injury?
A: I think he will be out for several weeks. It is a muscle injury in the front part and we have to wait until tomorrow then we will know directly what exactly happened.
Q: Why did you choose Livakovic today?
A: Sometimes it's not just about analyzing everything, sometimes it's also about feeling. My feeling today was like this, I talked with the coaches then we made this decision. It doesn't mean that we don't believe in Szczesny or anything like that but for me today I think this was the right decision.
