📍SETENIL DE LAS BODEGAS
is a unique Andalusian mountain town located about an hour and half from Málaga.

Residents here have built homes, shops, bars and restaurants above and beneath the rocks.

This town was so different from any other we’ve seen and we loved it! It was really cool to experience and worth the drive from Málaga.

We left Malaga on a weekday around 8 am and arrived a little before 9:30 am

The roads to come here are paved but the speed limit changes quickly on the winding roads so pay close attention. I didn’t drive but my husband said it wasn’t bad (somewhat easy) 😆

We parked for free along Calle San Sebastián — we came early so we can find parking along this street. Otherwise you can pay for parking at a gated lot called “Parking Los Caños” and walk down to the main area of Calle Cuevas del Sol (Street of the Caves of the Sun).

There are also group tours available for booking online if you don’t have a car. We saw the tourists walking a little further outside of town since the buses are too big for the narrow streets.
