.official returns to Marginalia with his “Magic Alive” EP – a focused four-tracker that threads emotion, restraint, and dancefloor pull into one coherent statement. After appearing on our first two Bestiary compilations, he steps into the spotlight with a solo release that feels both natural and overdue - a clear evolution of the sound he’s been honing within the Marginalia ecosystem.
Opening cut “Fabulous Ride” sets the tone with rolling low-end and lucid synth figures - a taut, late-night driver that invites long blends. The title track “Magic Alive” leans into lift and luminosity: agile percussion, airy leads, and a patient arc that blooms in the mix without losing focus.
Straight off the back of his album “Momentum”, takes the reins for the remix, sharpening the groove and pushing the melodic phrasing forward - a hypnotic rework engineered for peak rooms while staying true to the original’s emotional contour. Closing cut “Hypnotic Behaviour” strips things back: minimal frame, textural detail, and a simmering tension that rewards endurance sets.
