EYES ON. F50 Hyperfast Elite Laceless.

Since the launch of the new F50 generation we’ve been keeping a close eye on the players choosing the laceless version. From Reyna’s trivela finish with the US and Yasin Ayari’s brace for Sweden to Scott McTominay and, of course, Lamine Yamal, the message seems clear: this is a boot players genuinely trust.

Compact, direct and with one of the cleanest striking surfaces available today, the F50 Elite Laceless continues to be one of the most convincing laceless football boots on the market.

Have you tried it yet? 👀

We waited until players had enough time to test the new generation properly. Now, after the pre World Cup training camps, we’re starting to see clear trends emerge. Some players have moved from V***r to Superfly, others have done the opposite, and a few have stayed exactly where they were.

The most interesting part? Many of the changes mirror the sensations we experienced during our own testing in Madrid. So far, the new Mercurial generation is creating more movement than many expected.

Superfly or V***r. Which one would you choose? 👀

At a time when almost every World Cup collection seems to revolve around pink, standing out is becoming harder than ever. Yet somehow PUMA managed to do exactly that with the new KING Showtime.

The colour palette immediately catches your attention, but it’s the details that make this release interesting. The left and right boot don’t simply mirror each other, they each have their own identity, from the soleplates to the graphic accents running across the upper. It’s a concept that instantly reminds us of the legendary PUMA Tricks era, brought back in a much more refined and modern way.

What we appreciate most is that despite all the visual energy, this still feels like a KING. The silhouette remains clean, elegant and recognisable, while the contrasting colours and asymmetrical details give it a completely different presence compared to most current releases. The result is a boot that looks striking in still life, but arguably even better once on foot, where the mismatched soleplates and vibrant pink details really come to life.

Not everyone will call it their favourite World Cup boot, but one thing is certain: ignoring it is almost impossible.

For months we’ve imagined them, discussed them, analysed every leak and every teaser. Now the wait is over. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is finally here and these are the football boots set to take centre stage across the pitches of the USA, Mexico and Canada, excluding any surprise releases that may arrive during the tournament itself 👀

We already know what many of you are going to say: “Everything is pink.” And honestly? Looking at the full picture, it’s not entirely wrong. Pink is undoubtedly the defining colour of this World Cup cycle. But having had the chance to see every model up close, the reality is a little different. Some are pink, some lean towards coral, others towards infrared, peach or salmon tones. The differences are there, even if TV broadcasts and social media clips might make them look almost identical.

The bigger question for us is simple: does it actually matter? There was a time when almost every player stepped onto the pitch wearing black boots and nobody complained about a lack of variety. Today we have more choice, more innovation and more personality than ever before. Different brands, different technologies, different fits and different stories, all wrapped in colours that happen to follow a similar trend. That’s part of what makes a World Cup special.

It’s not just about the football. It’s about the details, the players, the moments and, for people like us, the boots that become attached to them. The only challenge this summer might be recognising them from a distance 😅

Enjoy the World Cup! 🏆

Comparing adidas Predator and Copa felt natural to us because, despite being completely different football boots, the players who choose them are often looking for very similar sensations on pitch.

Predator arrives for the World Cup exactly as expected: bold, powerful and elegant, with silver accents giving the boot even more personality. Copa instead takes a completely different direction, softer, cleaner and fully focused on comfort.

The biggest differences are obviously technical. Predator delivers insane grip together with a reactive and responsive soleplate that gives that unique “effortless” sensation while playing. Copa instead embraces a more classic spirit through softer materials and an incredibly natural feeling on foot.

And honestly? This comparison is not really about position or playing style. It’s about how you want a football boot to feel while playing.

You’re either Copa or Predator. Which side are you on?

Hosted by , we travelled to The Campus in Quinta do Lago, Portugal, to experience the new PUMA ULTRA 7 before its official launch. A few days surrounded by talented young players, elite facilities and an environment designed to help athletes perform at their best.

Beyond the product itself, what stood out was the attention to detail. From training and recovery to nutrition and accommodation, every aspect of the experience reflected the standards of the professional game. It was the perfect setting to understand not only how a boot performs, but also the context in which today’s players develop and compete.

As for the ULTRA 7, our first impressions are extremely positive. A more comfortable fit, a softer and more natural upper, an updated outsole and an overall feeling that the silo has taken a significant step forward.
The biggest surprise? The new laceless version, which delivered a level of comfort, freedom and stability that genuinely exceeded our expectations.

A huge thank you to PUMA for the invitation, the hospitality and for making us feel like professional athletes throughout the entire experience. We can’t wait to share more about the new ULTRA 7 in the coming weeks

“No point lying: the Ultimo Tango brought a tear to our eye.”

But what we do, and what sits at the core of our passion, is evaluate football boots beyond the emotional and aesthetic side of things and in this case, we can comfortably say that the adidas F50 Messi ‘El Ultimo Tango’ is a product that combines the pure visual and detail driven “wow” factor with some genuinely impressive technical characteristics.

The upper is incredibly soft, the laces are covered, yet the overall construction feels very different from something like the old Tunit models. On foot, the sensation is extremely comfortable, giving the impression of a football boot that successfully combines comfort, lightness, and excellent ball feel. An extra point goes to the sense of solidity and stability.

We genuinely feel that this could be a segment that deserves to exist within the F50 line regardless of Leo Messi’s involvement. For now, though, let’s simply enjoy his Ultimo Tango at the World Cup...

Nike Mercurial or adidas F50? It’s probably the biggest boot dilemma of the summer.

Before we start, one thing: BootsCulture won’t choose for you. What we can do is give you as much information, testing feedback and on pitch experience to help you make the right choice.

The comparison starts with Superfly and F50 Elite. Two boots with very different personalities. The adidas feels complete from the very first wear: comfortable, reactive, flexible and with excellent ball feel. Superfly is more extreme. You can genuinely feel the Air Zoom working and the sensation is always pushing you forward. If you’re looking for versatility and agility, F50 has a lot to offer. If you’re chasing the purest Mercurial experience possible, Superfly was built exactly for that.

Then there’s EVO vs V***r, a completely different battle. The F50 Hyperfast EVO is one of the closest things we’ve ever felt to playing barefoot. At just 130g, everything is designed to disappear around your foot and maximize freedom. Ball contact feels natural, direct and incredibly pure.
V***r takes a different route. It still carries Mercurial’s speed DNA, but feels more complete than ever. Comfortable, reactive, durable and noticeably more forgiving than Superfly without losing its identity.

Mercurial or F50. Superfly, V***r, F50 Hyperfast Elite or EVO. The choice is yours.
