Jennifer Lopez Looks So Different With a Platinum Blonde Retro Updo
Ahead of the release of Kiss of the Spider Woman on October 10, Jennifer Lopez is continuing to drum up anticipation for her Jayne Mansfield-coded beauty transformation on screen.
The multi-hyphenate has been making fans do a double-take with her newfound bleach-blonde hair color—a complete vibe and aesthetic shift from her signature caramel-hued locks—in teaser trailers.
And in a new preview video shared on Wednesday, September 24, Lopez was almost unrecognizable while debuting a white-blonde retro updo
The “On the Floor” singer looked so different wearing a version of the victory roll hairstyle, which featured a voluminous, middle-parted crown and rolls of bright blonde hair pinned back and curled away from her face on either side.
Blonde curls fluffed out around her neck, adding some volume to the otherwise sleek post-World War II hairstyle. In the clip, which Lopez shared on her Instagram account, the star could be seen belting out “Never You” to co-star Diego
Luna while wearing a rust-orange blazer-style jacket with a double-breasted wrap silhouette and buttons running down its thigh-length design.
A diamond-encrusted gold brooch and gold stud earrings added some subtle sparkle to Lopez’s look. She also leaned into the vintage aesthetic for her glam, showing off subtly bleached eyebrows, bright red lipstick, and a similar crimson hue on her cheeks and eyelids.
While Lopez has been making waves with her bleach-blonde transformation, as well as a jet-black pixie-cut wig she’s donned for certain scenes, the star recently admitted she had some misgivings about the dramatic hair color change.
While attending the Academy screening of the thriller on September 13 with director Bill Condon, Lopez revealed she and Condon didn’t agree when it came to the most best blonde hue for the role
