As La Sagrada Familia inches closer to completion, we headed out of Barcelona to immerse in all things Güell to examine some other unfinished Gaudí works...

Cos who wants to follow the crowd anyways?!

With Palau Güell influences as well as signature Gaudí takes on natural light, materials, and curves, this lesser explored Gaudí space was another opportunity for us to connect some more dots for our guests and to embrace the quietness outside Barcelona ✨

If you're a fan of Palau Güell, you might just need to go here too!

Winter in Barcelona...

Windy days call for a warm jacket.
Rain asks for some waterproof footwear.
Humidity beckons exposed ankles.
And floor tiles line up for photography 🩵✨☔

Piece by piece...

She grows!
And now, La Sagrada Família has become the tallest church in the world, after workers placed the first part of the Jesus Spire cross at the top on October 30th!

Now measuring an incredible 162.91 metres tall (same as 6 of the leaning tower of Pisa FYI), this beautiful basilica has officially overtaken the record from the Ulm Minster in Germany, which has held the crown since 1890.

At UnCommon Tourist, we continue to offer our signature exterior, with optional interior, tour of the church, exploring details and symbolism with as much care, awe, and story as Gaudí himself would've wanted as we track her on-going construction with much admiration ✨️

This tower, once completed will have a viewing platform and be standing at 172m , or 565ft, tall!

Pretty Magical, huh?!
