💦☀️ HD Lobos Natura – The Pools 🏖️🍹
Let’s be honest — one of the most important parts of any holiday is pool time. There’s just something special about that moment when you finally find your spot, kick back on the lounger, cocktail in one hand, book in the other, suncream on, and the sound of the water in the background. It’s the kind of calm that makes all the stress from home fade away. And when it comes to that blissful poolside life, HD Lobos Natura has absolutely nailed it. You’ve got not one, but two stunning pools to enjoy, both designed to make your stay as relaxing and effortless as possible.
The first thing you notice is the space and layout. Both pools are a great size — big enough for those who love to actually swim a few lengths and get a bit of a workout in, but not so deep or cold that it puts off the casual floaters who just want to drift the day away. What’s really nice is that both pools are fully walk-in style, which means there are no ladders or awkward steps to worry about. If you’ve got mobility or accessibility challenges, or even if you’re just not as steady on your feet as you used to be, this setup is a massive plus. You can stroll straight in at your own pace, with the sun on your back and the water gently rising up around you. That alone adds a real sense of calm and confidence to the experience.
Temperature-wise, the pools are heated during the winter months (December through March), but even outside that window, the water feels spot on. When we visited in late October, we honestly couldn’t fault it — that perfect, refreshing cool down after soaking up the sun for a few hours. Each pool is surrounded by a sea of loungers and umbrellas, all well-spaced and perfectly placed to catch the sun. I actually went and counted (because that’s just what I do) — roughly 230 single sunbeds and 8 double loungers, which are superb. Those double ones are the dream, easily fitting two adults and a couple of kids; super comfortable, perched right on the pool edge, and perfect for an afternoon nap or a family chill-out session.
Now, I asked the team about one of the biggest questions that always comes up — the sunbed reserving situation — and I’ve got some good news for you. The hotel will not be allowing it, and more importantly, they’ve promised to enforce that rule properly. None of that 6am towel-on-the-bed nonsense that drives everyone mad. Both pool areas can actually be closed off completely in the mornings, so guests won’t be able to access the sunbeds until they officially open. That, to me, is a brilliant move. It means everyone gets a fair shot at a bed, and you can finally have a lie-in without losing your spot.
There’s also a really nice pool bar just a few steps away. It’s not a swim-up bar, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be — it’s super convenient, with a great little menu of snacks, cold drinks, coffees, and cocktails running throughout the day. It’s especially handy for families, as the kids can wander up themselves for a drink or an ice cream without you having to pack everything up. The service was friendly and quick, which always makes a difference when you’re trying to stay in that relaxed, holiday mindset.
Visually, both pools look fantastic. You can tell they’ve had a serious makeover because the space feels fresh, modern, and very well thought-out. The little touches really elevate it — the waterfalls, the stone features, and the small decorative bridges and piers give it that resort-luxury feel without being over the top. It’s clean, it’s stylish, and it’s built for pure relaxation.
All in all, I’d give the pool setup a solid 9 out of 10. Between the layout, accessibility, comfort, cleanliness, and that no-towel-wars rule, HD Lobos Natura has set a new standard for poolside perfection. Whether you’re here to swim, tan, nap, sip cocktails, or just soak in the vibe, this place has got you covered.
So if you’re planning your next Fuerteventura getaway, this is yet another reason to get HD Lobos Natura right to the top of your list — trust me, you’ll love it.
