[EN] Usually, the fish arrive from hatcheries while still in eggs. They are born in small pools, and as they grow, they are periodically separated based on their feed consumption and growth rate. To sort them, a pipe is inserted into the pool where they live, and they are separated using a sorting machine. This way, fish of the same size and consumption rate live together and grow at the same pace. When they reach the exploitators desired size, they are electrocuted. Many of them survive the electrocution and do not die until much later, when they are placed in ice boxes or gutted.

[ES] En 2022 5 vacas fueron requisadas a su explotador en estado raquítico y a punto de morir. acogió a Lola, Audumbla, Coni, Renata y Lorea, que es como se llaman ahora, y las ha cuidado, protegido y alimentado durante todo este tiempo.

Hoy, ante el dictamen de una jueza para que estas 5 vacas fueran devueltas a quien las maltrató, decenas de activistas por los animales han acudido para evitarlo. Venides desde Barcelona, Sevilla, Asturias y otras partes del estado han desobedecido el dictamen judicial, se han interpuesto en el camino del camion de transporte de animales y han impedido que la policía se llevara a las vacas.

Aunque todavía se desconoce el futuro de estos animales, por ahora, se quedan en su hogar.

Today, following a judge's ruling that these 5 cows should be returned to the person who mistreated them, dozens of animal rights activists gathered to prevent it. (EN) San Tomas day is a traditional market day in Donostia (Basque Country) where a pig is fattened for a whole year and named the protagonist of the festivity. Kaxilda, the elected name for her, has been locked up and shown during the whole day in the main square of the market. The traditional meal of the day, Txistorra, is a special type of chorizo made of minced pig.

[EN] Dogs left behind in the floods of Valencia.

(EN) One of the big days of the Ángel de Teruel festivities (Aragón, Spanish state) is “La Vaquilla”, which includes the ensogados.
