State Fair of Texas Opening Day: SEPTEMBER 25 🎡🤠

The pre-Fair festivities are ramping up, and we kicked things off at the pre-fair fundraiser: *State Fair of Texas Saddle Up* at The Rustic — live music, midway games, auctions and plenty of Texas hospitality.

But the coolest part? 100% of the funds raised support Texas students through the Big Tex Youth Livestock Auction + Scholarship Programs, which have awarded more than $21 MILLION in college scholarships. 🎓

And now the State Fair of Texas countdown is officially ON…

That cheese pull alone 🤌

Pepperoni garlic rolls for the table, a couple giant cheesy pizzas, crisp salad on the side… very ’90s family night out and I would like more of it.

So excited it’s food season again… 🏈 I mean *football season*

My little secret for crispy wings in the oven? Add a little baking powder to the seasoning. Seriously, it works.

Then while those bake, I’m making homemade blue cheese because… we’re already making the wings. Might as well do it right. 😂
