I've been going through a rough patch.

Old patterns came back. The bar too high, the pressure too much. Unresolved trauma knocking on the door.

My body was overworked. I couldn't relax anymore. It got to a point where I had a full-blown panic attack — and almost called an ambulance.

But somewhere deep inside, I found a way through.

I'm sharing this because I think it matters. Building a platform about inner work while pretending everything is fine would be the opposite of what Inner Traveller stands for.

The truth is — this journey is messy. It's heavy. And it's real.

Vulnerability is strength. Sharing the hard parts is how we connect.

I'm back. And I'm grateful.

We’re almost at 100 followers. And almost 200 newsletter subscribers.

I know — those aren’t big numbers. Not by Instagram standards. But every single one of you is here because you actually care. About inner work. About consciousness. About doing life differently.

I’m not chasing numbers. I’m building something real.

This week we also launched new brand colours — if you haven’t checked the website lately, go have a look. It finally feels like Inner Traveller on the outside matches what it is on the inside.

So if this resonates with you — share it. Tell a friend. Subscribe to the newsletter. The link is in bio.

This is just the beginning.

I’m still processing what happened last month at Studio Janosh in Egmond aan den Hoef, the Netherlands.

A one-day retreat. Small group. Very personal. Visual, mental, and honestly — a bit confronting in the best possible way.

Janosh said something at the start that stuck with me: he doesn’t want to be an aspirin for people. He wants you to experience serious change. Not overnight — these processes can take weeks, even months to fully land. But the seeds get planted.

But the moment that really got me was when he said something about me that there is absolutely no way he could have known. My heart almost stopped.

I’m not ready to share the full story yet. But I will. Soon.

For anyone looking for retreat-level inner work but without the time or budget to fly somewhere — this might be exactly what you need.

More soon. 🙏🌿

I met Supriya during the pandemic. We were both travel photographers, and we started organising mental health spaces on Twitter for NFT artists. They got really popular but underneath that something bigger was brewing.

We both discovered that travel photography alone wasn’t enough — not for us and not for the world we wanted to contribute to. That’s when I introduced the inner travel theme to my work, while Supriya dived deeper into the path of Yoga, meditation and healing.

Fast forward to today — she has her own YouTube channel focusing on healing trauma through yoga and meditation. And she is a guest author for Inner Traveller.

Her article about living with the Suri tribe in Ethiopia’s Omo Valley is now on the website. It’s about what happens when you strip away modern comforts — your phone, bed, routine and you are left alone with the silence of outer wilderness and your own inner world.

Read it on the website. Link in bio 🙏🌿

I want to introduce you to someone special.

Cila d’Oliveira is one of my dear friends. She’s also one of the bravest people I know. She sold her business, lost herself trying to figure out what was next, confronted childhood trauma she’d been running from for years — and came out the other side with a completely new mission.

Today she runs Life in Balance from the Netherlands and Portugal, helping others reconnect with themselves through personal development and holistic healing. She even discovered that her great-grandmother was a medicine woman in Venezuela. You can’t make this stuff up.

I’m sharing Cila’s story because this is what Inner Traveller is about. Not just my journey. The people around me, around us, who are doing the hard inner work and building something real from it.

Her full story is on the Inner Traveller website. Link in bio.

And to Cila — thank you for being so open. It takes guts. 🙏🌿

I built Inner Traveller because I was looking for something that didn’t exist. A space where you can explore consciousness, sacred sites, retreats, and self-development — without the cliche spiritual language. Without someone telling you to ‘come home to yourself’ while selling you a course. Something direct. Honest. Grounded. Like talking to a friend who happens to be really into this stuff. That’s what this is. Articles, travel stories, retreat reviews, and conversations about what it actually means to do the inner work. If that sounds like your kind of thing? Welcome! 🙏🌿
