With our contents we share inspiring and beautiful stories in order to truly involve our readers with the projects, the places and the individuals that we publish. Our features aim to be as much ‘personal’ as possi

ble, based most of the times on a ‘lived experience’ so that the final result becomes much more intimate and familiar for those who reads us. We develop our own photo shootings, inspired on the theme of each issue, using different kinds of paper and textures, bringing new experiences to the printed edition and inviting everyone to live it and feel it in a unique way.

Built in the 17th century in Rome’s historic centre, Palazzo Fonseca was converted into a hotel in the early 19th century. Today, it has been reborn as Orient Express La Minerva – the brand’s first hotel – under the vision of the architect and designer Hugo Toro. Original frescoes, columns and marble features remain, now framed by a contemporary redesign that reimagines the interiors and redefines the palace with a new spatial sequence.

Erguido no século XVII no centro histórico de Roma, o Palazzo Fonseca, transformado em hotel no início do século XIX, renasce hoje como Orient Express La Minerva, a primeira unidade hoteleira da marca, sob a visão do arquitecto e designer Hugo Toro. Frescos, colunas e mármores originais permanecem, agora enquadrados por uma intervenção contemporânea que reorganiza os interiores e devolve ao palácio uma nova sequência de espaços.

Constança Entrudo studied Textile Design, specialising in printmaking, at Central Saint Martins in London; she has collaborated with Balmain and Peter Pilotto; and in 2018, she launched her namesake brand. With a free-flowing and unfettered approach, her work reflects a culture in transition. Using fabrics, she explores the boundaries of experimentation, redefining the concept of craftsmanship as a form of intelligence that engages new generations and challenging languages.

A place of stories, creative, inclusive, and with a sense of home. Amidst the creative rhythm of Rua de Cedofeita, Casa Cedo was born – a boutique hotel that redefines the idea of hospitality by transforming it into an intimate, sensory and deeply personal experience.

Housed in a lovingly restored 19th-century building, the project – with architecture by and interiors by – preserves the building’s soul and architectural memory whilst introducing a subtle contemporary language, where every detail has been designed to welcome and inspire.

There are projects that spring from improbable encounters but end up becoming inevitable narratives. Quinta da Princesa is one such case. This is more than a renovation; it is a project built upon a relationship between architect, client and place. The saying proves true: “with good clients, only good projects can emerge”, but there is a unique detail here: years earlier, the studio of architect António Costa Lima had already visualised this building through a watercolour he himself had once painted.

Há projectos que nascem de encontros improváveis e se consolidam como narrativas inevitáveis. A Quinta da Princesa é um desses casos. Mais do que uma reabilitação, é um projecto construído sobre uma relação entre arquitecto, cliente e lugar. A velha máxima confirma-se: “com bons clientes, só podem surgir bons projetos”, mas aqui com um detalhe singular: anos antes, o estúdio do arquitecto António Costa Lima já havia imaginado este edifício através de uma aguarela feita pelo próprio.
