Surcos & Dígitos with from - Available for listen back 🎧
This month’s episode we’re featuring Sancturu & Akasha Records. Originally from Argentina, the project was founded by Santiago and later joined by Mauro, evolving from underground events in Bahía Blanca into a wider platform now based in Barcelona.
Alongside their parties, they run several labels including Akasha Records, Error404, Not Found Records and Boomerang Recordings, with a focus on a musically open approach that moves between ambient, house, techno, electro and beyond. Their work extends into vinyl releases in collaboration with Runas Distribution, while continuing to support and represent the South American scene.
Their music has been supported by artists such as Anthea, Raresh, Z@p, DJ Koolt, Francesco Farfa, Deep Mariano, Hearthug, tINI and Brasi, among others.
In this episode we share an exclusive-experimental mix from Sancturu with tracks from Akasha Records and Not Found Records and a short conversation to get a closer look at their journey. The second part of the show is rounded out with an eclectic Brain-dance, IDM and electro selection from Santacreu.
This month’s guest features:
Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café by The Other People Place
Sancturu: “I always try to go back to them when I overthink my own music productions too much. They help me reconnect with what moved me when I first started.”
4BHI - V.A [Akasha Records]
Sancturu: “Since we’re in Akasha mode, I recommend the latest digital VA we released to benefit Hospital Penna in Bahía Blanca after the big catastrophe that happened in the city last year.
It’s called 4BHI. You can find it on Bandcamp, and all the money raised goes to that hospital. It has 35 tracks ranging from Ambient, Downtempo, House, Techno, Minimal, and Electro — a bit of everything we usually show on the label.”
