🌴💻 Coding from Paradise: My Office Today is Formentera Beach 💻🌴

Today I’m working from one of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Europe—Formentera. Crystal-clear water, soft sand, and the freedom to work remotely as a frontend developer.

It’s not a vacation—this is my real life.
And it didn’t happen overnight.

Six years ago, I was newly divorced, struggling with two kids, and no stable income. I decided to change my life by diving into the tech world—even though I had no background in programming. I learned how to design and build websites, apps, and user interfaces. And now… I’m here. Coding in the sun. Earning a real income. Living life on my terms.

✨ You don’t need a tech degree.
✨ You don’t need to be a math genius.
✨ You just need the courage to start.

I created Tech Beach Mama to help other women—especially single moms—break free from limitations, build careers in tech, and live life with freedom, creativity, and purpose.

💻 React, AI & the Future — What Should I Focus on Now?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the direction I’m heading as a developer — and I know I’m not the only one.

👉 “Is it still worth investing in frontend skills like React, Next.js, or React Native… or should I shift gears and start learning how to build AI instead?”

This question feels urgent in 2025. AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot can already write huge chunks of code. Some say coding will become obsolete. But here’s what I really believe:

🤖 Will AI replace frontend developers?
No — not yet, and probably not completely.

AI is amazing at generating code. But it still lacks the human creativity needed to:

Design thoughtful user experiences

Understand real-world business needs

Build products that make sense to actual people

What’s changing is how we code — not whether we’re needed.

🎯 Should I learn to create AI instead?
Yes and no.

You don’t need to become a machine learning engineer (unless that’s your goal!). But learning how AI works and how to build with AI tools is becoming essential.

What I’m focusing on now:
✅ Using AI to speed up my work
✅ Learning to integrate AI into apps (OpenAI, LangChain, AI APIs)
✅ Improving in product design, branding, and communication — skills AI can’t fake

💛 The future of tech is human + AI.
You don’t have to compete with AI. You just need to learn to collaborate with it.

And most importantly, you don’t need to chase every new trend — just stay curious and keep building real things that matter.

📍 From rock bottom to tech freedom — my journey as a single mom in Spain.

Six years ago, I was newly divorced, broke, and raising two small children — in a country where the average salary barely covers rent.

I had just walked away from a toxic job with no savings and no stable career to lean on.

I started freelancing with what I had — some graphic and web design skills.
But it wasn’t enough. I needed to find a better path — fast.

💡 That’s when I discovered the tech industry.

I invested my last savings into a coding bootcamp at Ironhack, where I learned JavaScript, React, backend, and frontend development.
Just days after graduating, I signed my first contract as a junior developer.

It wasn’t easy.
It wasn’t glamorous.
But I kept going — learning, job-hopping, negotiating, and growing.

💼 Over 5 years, I doubled my income and landed jobs that gave me freedom, flexibility, and stability.
