Our latest documentary The Rich North Sea - Lessons learned is online. The commissioned 12-minute film is a look back at the pioneering work of the Dutch foundation that aims to restore underwater nature in offshore windfarms. The film combines archive footage with new interviews, illustrations and animations.

The making of... 🎬

Last month, I was sitting in a cinema watching a documentary that I worked on for 2 years. Now the project is finished and it's time to share some of the behind-the-scenes footage as well!

During filming, I traveled with Pieter Huisman to stunning locations across the Netherlands, where we captured not only beautiful nature and inspiring interviews, but also had some unexpected visitors – like sheep, seals, and German tourists on bikes! 🐑🦭🚴‍♂️

Sometimes a project truly stands out! 🌊🎬

Last week, WHAT IF A DREAM COMES TRUE - a documentary about The Rich North Sea - had its premiere in Utrecht. It was an inspiring project that we worked on for two years, from the very first brainstorming session all the way to the premiere.

Together with cameraman Pieter Huisman, I filmed numerous interviews and footage last year at various locations along the Dutch coast. In the editing room, I combined these images with terabytes of archive footage which turned out to be quite the puzzle!

It was a beautiful and creative process and it was really cool to finally see the result on a big screen!
