RISE (Oluwa’s Light)
Hmm, yeah, oh-na-na, yeah…
Oluwa, guide my steps, oh…
(Adlib: “Eh! Jeje!”)
Oluwa, hear my cry,
See the fire in my eyes—
Let my sweat water the ground where my blessings rise!
Mama’s tears turned to fuel,
Her prayers my golden tool,
I’ll build her palace where the sun don’t set—her crown, my rule!
Police dey chase but my mind dey for cloud nine,
Destiny’s whisper louder than the naira they design…
Every kobo na my bible verse, every scar na diamond line,
Through the storm, I shine—Oluwa’s light, my sign!
I no dey look back, I dey chase the dawn,
From Ajegunle trenches to the throne in Lekki zone!
The pain, the grind, the sweat on my face…
Na fuel wey go make my glory blaze!
I go rise, rise, RISE-OH!
Oluwa carry me, I dey fly like kite for sky-o!
Street go talk my story, turn my scars to glory-o!
From the mud to the stars—na God dey write my story!
(Adlib: “Eh! Na Him!”)
Remember cold nights—stomach empty, dreams full,
Doubt wey dey yarn say, “Boy, you nor fit reach that pinnacle!”
But Mama’s voice steady like Bible chapter 3:5,
“No weapon fit prosper—you go thrive while you’re alive!”
Now I see the vision: Benz keys and acres green,
Generations lifted—na the legacy I mean!
No time for bad belle, no gree for despair,
My hustle holy—breathing faith in Lagos air!
They say the road hard—but which life sweet without fight?
Phoenix from the ashes, my morning star burn bright!
Every tear, every fall na stepping stone tonight…
Oluwa’s promise: “What I start, I finish right!”
Rise, oh rise—my time is NOW!
Oluwa, I dey bow, your grace dey wow!
Hmm, yeah… I’m rising, rising, YEAH!
“Oluwauuu! Asé!”
