Belgian musician Schicksal, famous for the New Beat hit 24 Hours, is playing at this years edition of Ombra Festival and you should not miss the opportunity of seeing him. A couple of years ago, thanks to Polish label Mecanica Records, we discovered a lot of his old material, in a couple of compilations entitled Perpetuum Cycle that will delight fans of 80s EBM and minimal synth. We have talked with Rudi Huybrechts about the birth of New Beat, DAF and the perfect body beat.

Last month, Years of Denial released a new EP, entitled Love Cuts, that included this intense ballad that takes inspiration in deathrock. Last year, Valencia suffered a devastating flood that caused more than 220 deaths. Valencian EBM duo Spammerheads lost part of their studio and actively participated in the cleanup efforts in their city.
