To His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,
We, the Npower beneficiaries, are compelled to bring to your attention a pressing matter that has been plaguing us for far too long. As we gathered around our radios and televisions on May 29th, Democracy Day, we held onto the hope that your speech would address the elephant in the room – the 9 to 12 months outstanding stipends owed to us. Unfortunately, our hopes were dashed once again.
As beneficiaries of the Npower program, we were initially filled with enthusiasm and anticipation, believing that this initiative would be a stepping stone to a brighter future. However, the prolonged delay in stipend payments has left us in a state of uncertainty, struggling to make ends meet. The situation has become dire, with many of us facing untold hardships, including inability to pay rent, feed our families, and access basic necessities.
We are not just statistics or beneficiaries; we are human beings with families, dreams, and aspirations. The delay in payment has not only affected our financial stability but also our mental health and well-being. We are tired of waiting, tired of promises, and tired of being overlooked. We are the backbone of this nation, and it is imperative that our concerns are addressed with urgency and sincerity.
Mr. President, we implore you to use your office to intervene in this matter with haste. The payment of our outstanding stipends is not a favor, but a rightful entitlement that we have earned through our participation in the program. We urge you to direct the relevant authorities to prioritize the payment of our stipends, which have been pending for far too long.
We request that you consider the following demands:
1. *Immediate payment of outstanding stipends*: We urge the government to settle the 9 to 12 months outstanding stipends owed to us without further delay.
2. *Clear payment plan*: We request a clear plan of action for future stipend payments, ensuring that we receive our entitlements on time.
3. *Support for Npower beneficiaries*: We appeal for support and guidance to help us navigate the challenges we face as beneficiaries, ensuring that we can focus on our development and contribution to the nation's growth.
Mr. President, we believe in your leadership and commitment to the welfare of Nigerian youths. We are confident that with your intervention, our concerns will be addressed, and we can continue to contribute to the growth and development of our nation.
We look forward to a positive response from your administration.
Sincerely,
Npower Beneficiaries.
