The mosque where terror!sts locked innocent Muslim worshippers inside during the fajr prayer
& opened fire on them. K!lling more dan 30 instantly, while others d!ed after being taken to the hospital in Danmantau town, Malumfashi Local
Government Area, Katsina State. Total lives lost now is 82 with more in the hospital, you remember the ex president buhari was from this state, how far? He destroyed the image of his own peaceful fulani herdmens, making them victims of hatred against themselves around nigeria, because of the atrocities of a few, he deliberately refuse to provide solutions between tribal and religious village comunal crashes, he surrounded himself with charlatans in a*o rock,

the tribe or religion of the president shouldn't be our principal concern, we need someone with basic knowledge on how governance works. To set the foundation of this country for economic growth, Peter obi is our Lee Kuan Yew of singapore, we need restructuring of nigeria, everyone should go back to their local government and develop it, may nigeria succeed this difficult period of our history, it's heartbreaking. Inocent people, RIP 🙏

The reputation of the Nigerian judiciary has steadily gone down from the four eras up till today. The rapidity of the precipitous fall, particularly in the Fourth Republic, is lamentable.

The judiciary’s decline poses a significant threat to the nation’s stability.

I can recount an incident where a governor showed me six duplex buildings belonging to a judge who allegedly acquired them from money made as chairman of election tribunals. This anecdote, illustrates the depth of corruption in the judiciary.

No wonder politicians do not put much confidence in an election which the INEC of Professor Mahmood Yakubu polluted and grossly undermined to make a charade
Politicians believe the outcome of election disputes depends on the will of tribunal judges, court of appeal judges, and supreme court judges.

No matter what the will of the people may be, the Chairman of INEC since after the 2015 election had made his will greater and more important than the will of the people,”
Buhari threw caution to the wind, no matter what had transpired between him and the judges who did his bidding. In his election cases, financially, he topped it up with appointments for them no matter their age and their ranks.

The current state of the judiciary and electoral system in Nigeria is alarming. After a false declaration of results, making losers winners and winners losers, the victim of the cheating is advised to go to court, which is a court of corruption rather than a court of justice.“

In the Igbo, I Saw the Mirror of Humanity: Pain That Endures, and Dignity That Refuses to Die

By Khaleed Yazeedu

I am a proud Hausa man. A Muslim. A student of Political Science. A researcher, a writer, and a lifelong seeker of truth. I have read countless books on Africa, our ancestors, our heritage, and the struggles of our forefathers. I have studied justice, equality, respect, and love, not tribalism, not bias, not hate. And everything I stand for flows from these values.

But let me say this with all honesty of my soul: in all my years of study, research, travels, and investigations, I have never encountered a people whose resilience and spirit could rival the Igbo.

In 2016, I set foot in Imo State for the very first time. It was as though history itself whispered in my ears. The Igbo spirit of survival, their kindness, and their raw determination stared me in the face. That memory never left me.

Then in 2022, when Nigeria faced its worst flooding in a decade, destiny carried me again to Anambra State, to Ihiala. From May to October, the waters swallowed homes, villages, and entire communities. I was there with NGOs, walking through Ubahu Okija, Umudara, Amorka, and Mbosi. I saw submerged lands, broken houses, but never broken people.

I saw resilience where there should have been despair. I saw kindness even from the wounded. I saw displaced communities in camps, and I witnessed with my own eyes what it means for human beings to still stand tall after devastation. UNICEF and JDPC were among those bringing aid, but the truest aid came from the hearts of the people themselves.

And it was there, in Ihiala, that my bond with the Igbo was sealed forever.

Any time I speak with an Igbo brother, I do not just hear words, I hear greatness wrapped in resilience. Yes, in every bag of rice there will always be a few black grains, but when I weigh the truth with honesty, the Igbo stand tall. They are builders. They are givers. They are teachers of business, freedom, and survival.

Do you know how many Hausa boys served as “nwa boys” under Igbo masters, and today they are millionaires with businesses of their own? Do you know how many communities across this country thrive because an Igbo man chose to build, not destroy?

How then can I hate? How can I despise such people? Misleading narratives cannot erase the truth I have seen with my own eyes.

I respect my tribe, Hausa is my pride, my blood, my root. But goodness must come before anything else. Humanity must come before identity. For me, friendship with the Igbo is not politics, it is truth written in my heart. I can live among them as one of their own, just as they live peacefully among us.

If you hate me because I love them, then you are not hating me, you are hating the man who is trying to show the world that the Hausa are kindred souls too.

If you doubt me, then go and try it yourself: be good to an Igbo man, and you will see that goodness will return to you multiplied.

I have walked the flood-stricken paths of Ihiala, I have shaken the hands of survivors, I have felt the humanity that binds us. And I tell you today: love is stronger than history, kindness is louder than lies, and truth will outlive every propaganda.

Because in the Igbo, I saw not strangers, I saw my brothers. I saw the mirror of humanity.

“Tinubu Acting Like President of Oduduwa, Not Nigeria—Bugaje!”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is facing criticism once again, this time from former political adviser Dr. Usman Bugaje, who has accused him of acting like “the President of the Oduduwa Republic” rather than the leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Bugaje claims that Tinubu is prioritizing ethnic and sectional interests over the overall welfare of Nigerians.

He argues that Tinubu’s approach to governance is exacerbating divisions and fueling concerns that Nigeria is drifting deeper into regional favoritism and exclusionary politics.

Nigerians are already voicing their opinions, with many asserting that this situation highlights how Tinubu’s administration is “for a few, not for all.”

Documents Reveal How Tinubu’s Minister Wike Secretly Bought $2Million U.S. Mansion In Wife, Children’s Names.

The documents, obtained by West Africa Weekly, also show that Justice Wike is a registered member of the U.S. Democratic Party, a status that places her in violation of Nigeria’s Judicial Code of Conduct, which prohibits judges from partisan political affiliations.

According to official U.S. public records, the Wike family quietly secured the property in March 2025.

The residence, located at 113 Spring Creek Lane, Winter Springs, Florida 32708, is a two-storey mansion built in 1997 on a 4,076-square-foot lot. It features multiple bedrooms, a garage, and two dedicated parking spaces.

A source familiar with the deal, who spoke to West Africa Weekly on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Wike deliberately omitted his name from the purchase, using his wife's and children’s identities to shield himself from scrutiny regarding asset declaration obligations and questions about the source of funds.

The revelations come amid mounting scandals involving the controversial minister, who was recently linked to a staggering $3.6 billion FCT land-grab scheme allegedly facilitated through his son, Joaquin.

The hidden Florida purchase now raises fresh concerns of illicit enrichment and cross-border money laundering, potentially violating Nigeria’s Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.

Equally troubling is the involvement of his wife, Justice Eberechi Wike, a serving judicial officer.

By aligning herself with the U.S. Democratic Party, she runs afoul of the Nigerian Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers (Rule 9.3a), which explicitly bars judges from joining political organizations or engaging in activities that may compromise their impartiality.

Furthermore, her participation in the property acquisition conflicts with Rule 1.2 and 5c of the same Code, which demands strict avoidance of impropriety or even the appearance of impropriety by members of the bench.

Soludo Declares Labour Party, ADC “Dead” in Anambra After APGA’s By-Election Sweep

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has said that the outcome of Saturday’s by-elections in the state shows that the Labour Party (LP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) no longer have political relevance in Anambra.

Speaking on Sunday at Nanka during a celebration of the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) victories, Soludo mocked former governor Peter Obi for supporting ADC candidates in the elections, insisting the party “does not exist” in the state.

“ADC does not exist in Anambra. We showed it yesterday. Labour Party is dead,” Soludo said to the cheers of APGA supporters.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared APGA’s Emmanuel Nwachukwu winner of the Anambra South Senatorial District poll with 90,408 votes, defeating the APC’s Azuka Okwuosa, who got 19,847 votes, while ADC’s Donald Amangbo polled 2,889 votes. Nwachukwu will replace Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who died in July 2024.

Similarly, APGA’s Ifeoma Azikiwe emerged victorious in the Onitsha North Constituency 1 House of Assembly by-election.

Soludo pointed out that the constituency is the home base of Peter Obi, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, yet APGA won overwhelmingly. “They wanted to use it as a test case for the new concoction called ADC in Anambra, but that election was won by APGA; we won with about 77%, a very emphatic statement,” the governor added.

The governor, a former Central Bank of Nigeria boss, is seeking re-election in the November 8, 2025 governorship poll on the APGA platform.
