The Goliath grouper came close to extinction fifty years ago, but the poachers continue their illegal fishing to satisfy unscrupulous restaurants in Florida. Some fish still carry a spear (from a gun) on their belly.

Le mérou Goliath a frôlé l'extinction il y a cinquante ans, mais les braconniers continuent leur pêche illégale pour satisfaire les restaurants sans scrupules de Floride. Certains poissons traînent encore le harpon (tiré par un fusil) accroché à leur ventre.

Nothing seems to be able to stop the decline of North Atlantic Right Whales.
Only 366 remain. Between the months of January 2018 and 2019, 42 of these marine mammals have still disappeared, mainly killed by collision against a ship or drowned in fishing nets.
