Isn’t there something humbling about how siblings, even twins, can be so different, in thought, in looks, in everything, and yet still threaded together? You start to sense an intelligence greater than ours, one we can feel but not quite perceive, weaving connection and purpose through all that difference.
Leonardo da Vinci saw this pattern too. Self-taught, led by his own curiosity, he came to believe education should draw a child’s knowledge out through observation and wonder, rather than fill them with information. He was his own proof.
“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.”
— Kahlil Gibran
“The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord.”
