That our indie community can be seen as one that is as a whole one which has the ability to profoundly inspire, to celebrate one another for their strengths, to stand alongside each other and genuinely be proud of both the outstanding talents we all possess yet also to highlight another’s gifts they offer to us all is that which makes being involved in the indie scene something to be incredibly proud to be a part of. Life becomes much lighter, so much brighter and immensely more meaningful when you know there are amazingly talented yet caring and supportive people around you who allow your talents and more importantly your strengths and human qualities to grow and thrive. There are those who may feel the need to bring the wonderful human being you are with all the amazing talents that you possess down by bringing negativity to our lives yet we can thank these people for also helping make your strengths and wonderful human qualities that make who you are shine even brighter. The darkness has its own purpose-to allow the brilliant light into the environment around you be there. To help highlight that there is a lot of real natural beauty in the world. Not a superficial beauty. Real beauty is the kindness inherent in most human beings and it’s definitely there in those all around our magnificent indie community. Those who are ready to support who you are and encourage your talents to shine. Who inspire You as the marvellous artists and kind human beings they are and who are inspired BY you as the outstanding artist and wonderful human being you are. That’s the indie community as it REALLY is. It’s how we perceive it that counts. To have been given this incredibly inspiring and uplifting opportunity to hear all the outstanding musicians and get to experience all the genuinely amazing people around our indie community is something I feel so grateful for. To also have been given the chance to highlight these fantastic artists by putting together this weekly playlist featuring all the wondrous and majestic music from around our community by DC and the team at Sweet Beets - Indie Music Discovery certainly makes me feel genuinely appreciative. Our indie community IS one to be proud to be a part of. There’s a lot of amazingly gifted and warm hearted human beings who have the same profound ability as you have to create music that shares their own unique experience of the world and deeply move and inspire another- that in itself is truly magical. Those involved in our wonderfully talented and vast global community has a unique story to tell that is always welcome and appreciated. At least ten reasons there to feel a huge smile form on your dial as you hear this small reminder that ours is a wonderfully talented and a magnificent community to be a part of. That we all have a marvellous and unique story to tell is always immensely valid and valued. You matter just as much as the person alongside you matters. Your art and your gifts are as appreciated as the music and gifts that the artists standing beside you are. Our community has a lot of sunshine within and around to allow it to thrive and grow. That you are a part of this no matter how you choose to allow this wonderful sunshine to be or how you allow it to bring the brightness in is always very much appreciated.
Myles💜🙏❤️Yup still wandering the sometimes seemingly long and winding path of recovery and healing, therapies and doctor’s appointments. Very grateful for the fact I am on this journey alongside everyone else on this earth who also suffer just as much yet it always brings a smile to see and know that everyone experiences a lot of joy and happiness as well- we’re all here on this planet together to be able experience it all. Miss Pablo is still being so very kindly looked after with a huge thank you to my awesome little sister Shae, her equally awesome partner Steve, three incredible kids and a whole bunch of animal friends.
