Feel the vibes from Opening Day at the Tenerife World Cup!

Today started with rider registration as all the world’s best wave sailors officially checked in before Day One of competition got underway with the Challenger fleets.

Once competition wrapped up, the legendary Riders Parade took over the streets of El Médano, bringing together riders from every nation competing this week. The parade finished in the town square with a spectacular display of national flags, an incredible atmosphere and the perfect celebration to officially kick off the event.

What a way to start the Tenerife World Cup. The week is already shaping up to deliver plenty of action, so stay tuned for updates and don’t forget to watch the action from the live broadcast 😎.

Day 2 at the Tenerife World Cup turned into a lay day as the conditions never became suitable for competition.

That said, the good vibes never stop. Tenerife and El Médano are always the perfect place to enjoy a day at the beach, and the riders made the most of the break while getting some free sailing or a well deserved rest and staying ready for the next competition days.
