Buenos días 😶‍🌫️☔️

Heute fängt der Tag wohl (erst einmal) ohne Regen an ☺️. Später soll es dann wohl weitergehen. Wenigstens füllen sich die Stauseen auf Mallorca wieder 😀🚰

Und wenn man das Glück hat, nicht arbeiten zu müssen, ist es das perfekte Wetter, sich zuhause mit einem Kakao und einem Film zu Hause einzumummeln 🛋☕️

Das ist etwas, was man nicht jeden Tag sieht 🦮🦡 🫢😲

Gestern waren wir ausnahmsweise mal in einem Fast Food Restaurant... und haben "ihn" dort gesehen. Ein Erdmännchen 😍... an der Leine... natürlich kommt als erster Gedanken: Darf man ein solch exotisches Tier überhaupt als Haustier halten?? Google gefragt: Erdmännchen an Leine. Als Ergebnis habe ich sofort eine herzzerreißende Story einer Mallorquinischen Zeitung von 2023 angezeigt bekommen. Lt. des Artikels kam das Erdmännchen in einem Zoo in Madrid auf die Welt und wurde von der Mutter verstoßen. Somit stand es zur Adoption. Der Halter ist aufmerksam darauf geworden und hat es mit dem Auto auf die Insel geholt (keine Airline wollte es mitnehmen). Nun lebt es, Lt Artikel, "frei wie ein Hund oder eine Katze" im Südwesten der Insel 😊

Restaurant-Tipp-Mittwoch 🍷 🍽🥙

Ich bin immer wieder auf der Suche nach etwas Neuem. In Palma hat man in der Tat eine riesige Auswahl an Restaurants, Snackbars und Essen "para llevar" 👜

Vor ein paar Tagen hatte ich Lust auf einen Kebab 😃. Ich habe schon viele Kebab-Läden ausprobiert (leider waren einige davon gar nicht gut 😬🤒)... ... ... 😅

Aber in diesem Fall war es ein absoluter Glücksgriff! Ich glaube fast, dass es der beste Kebab war, den ich je gegessen habe:
Super Fleisch, frischer Salat und tolle Salsa (Stil Tzaziki). Nebst Kebab gibt es dort zudem verschiedene Pizzen und auch Alternativen für Vegetarier. Der Service war super und freundlich 👩‍🍳 Für einen Kebab zahlt man zwar 10 Euro aufwärts, aber dafür ist er riesig und man benötigt wirklich keine Beilage mehr 😲

Ich ❤️ Sonntage in Palma, denn es ist gefühlt der einzige Tag, an dem die Stadt "zur Ruhe" kommt ☺️... frei von Automassen und der Hektik.

DIE "PEST" IST IN PALMA ANGEKOMMEN 🐀🐁... mit Ratten, Pestmasken, Kräutern, unheimlichem Nebel und allem, was dazu gehört!! Inkl Markierung der Kranken: auch ich wurde nicht verschont 😱

Palma hat schon einige außergewöhnliche Traditionen. Eine davon fand heute statt, als Teil der Festlichkeiten "Sant Sebastià".

Hintergrund: Im 16ten Jahrhundert wütete eine Pestepedemie in Palma. Der Schutzpatron Sant Sebastià soll seine Reliquien nach Palma gebracht haben, was als Wunder galt und der Stadt somit den Frieden gebracht haben soll. 🎇

Heute war der Start der Feierlichkeiten, die mit einem interessanten Programm bis zum 20ten Januar andauern werden. 👿

In Palma wird es halt nie langweilig (auch nicht im langweiligstem Monat des Jahres, dem Januar 🤪).

Today marks the official start of the Christmas season in Establiments, Palma. 🎄 Just walked past the church and heard the choir singing. It really gets you in the Christmas spirit.🎅

Yesterday's Christmas Lighting Show 💫

OPINION: I have read a lot of negative reports about the event during the day... ... ... which I think is quiet sad and ungrateful 🤨

🤙Was it crazily busy? YES - but it is every year and people should know and be prepared for it. It is always a little "chaos", but no surprise! 🎁
🤙Was the stage faaar too small for the amount of people (around 20.000) who were watching the Show? YES - to be honest, most of the people could not see a thing and had to use the mobile and use the zoom to see something 📱
🤙 Was Plaza España this year the right choice? NOPE - because it was the same chaos as last years in Passeig Born, but unfortunately withou the WOW-effect after switching on the Christmas Lighting 🫥

🥸Long Story short: They can improve a lot of things. However, instead of moaning and complaining every year about what went wrong, people should focus on the positive Things. 20.000 (and more) is an amazing amout, gathering all together and (trying) to get into Christmas mood. No dramas happening, no Terror Happening - and to be fair-
PALMA OFFERS AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS LIGHTING AND THE CITY INVESTS A LOT OF MONEY FOR THAT 💫🎄🎅

Don't take this for granted and be grateful for what you got. Don't be a Grinch 😉
