Ayer fui a un evento de IA y volví con más preguntas que respuestas.

Y eso me encanta. 😄

Entre ponencias, conversaciones y alguna cerveza, terminé hablando sobre agentes, memoria persistente, asistentes personales, creatividad, arte e inteligencia artificial con personas muy diferentes pero con la misma curiosidad por el futuro.

Tuve la oportunidad de conocer a gente a la que llevaba tiempo siguiendo, como Brais Moure | Programador, Romuald Fons o Jon Hernández, y de intercambiar ideas con jóvenes talentos como , que me confirmó que quizá eso de convertir la IA en una especie de sistema operativo personal no sea una idea tan descabellada. 😂

Pero si me tengo que quedar con algo del evento, no son las fotos ni las ponencias.

Son las personas.

Porque además de aprender, me llevé nuevas amistades.

Fallas 2026 – Falla Hierros (Miguel Santaeulalia)

Description:
This is one of the pieces I created for Fallas 2026, now that I’m finally able to share it.

The sculpture was developed for the Falla Hierros, under the direction of artist Miguel Santaeulalia.

For this character, I focused on achieving a balance between softness and personality, with a stylized approach that translates well into sculptural volume and silhouette.

From digital sculpting to the heart of Valencia.

These are the renders of the central figure of the Valencia City Hall Fallas monument 2026.

I was responsible for the full digital sculpt of the character — a portrait inspired by Charlie Chaplin as a soldier.

This project presented several challenges.
The piece contains many elements and required a careful balance between likeness, symbolism and pose.

Unlike a regular character model, this sculpture was designed to be built at monumental scale. At that size, even the smallest inaccuracies in the digital sculpt can become highly visible once the figure is enlarged several meters high.

Because of that, every aspect had to be carefully studied:
the expression, the costume, the props and the overall clarity of the volumes so the sculpture could read properly from a distance.

Behind this model there were many hours of research, documentation and sculpting work.

But what makes this project truly special is seeing the sculpture finally standing in the centre of Valencia, becoming part of one of the most iconic cultural celebrations in the city.

As artists we often work quietly in the background.
Moments like this remind us why we do it.

🟣 Esculpir el tiempo ya está publicado 💥
Este mes participo en la revista Renderout con un artículo muy personal, donde hablo de mi proceso de trabajo, de cómo es esculpir personajes que no son míos… y del vértigo (hermoso) que supone interpretar los trazos de otro artista.

Gracias infinitas a , que no solo me confió uno de sus personajes más icónicos, sino que me lo dejó entre las manos para que lo modelara con libertad. Y a Silvia Pérez Nebot, que cerró el círculo con su delicadeza, modelando cada flor de la versión física a mano 🩵

No es un making of técnico. Es una reflexión desde dentro.

✨ I was madly in love with this man when I was a kid.
And now Harrison Ford is signing a sculpture that I modeled.
Sometimes life really goes full circle in the most poetic way.

This piece is part of a very special collection we’ve developed with the amazing team at Lladró, and let me tell you—it wasn’t easy.
Capturing the soul of an icon like Han Solo takes more than skill.
It takes respect, obsession for detail… and maybe a little bit of that childhood awe we still carry around.

Huge thanks to everyone who made it possible.
And thank you, Harrison, for still being as cool as I remembered.

Walking through Las Fallas de Valencia, you’ll find satire, artistry, and fire… but this year, you’ll also discover a fantastical world made of sugar and dreams. 🎭✨

One of the most striking Fallas this year is Falla Sugar, designed by Miguel Santaeulalia, a celebration of color, whimsy, and larger-than-life artistry.

🔹 And here’s one of its characters! I had the pleasure of digitally sculpting this piece, adapting the original design into 3D before it was brought to life on a grand scale. 🎨🖥️

💡 Modeling for Fallas is more than just translating a concept into 3D—it’s a technical and artistic challenge. Every piece must be:
✅ Expressive and visually impactful, maintaining the original design’s essence.
✅ Optimized for large-scale physical production, ensuring every detail translates into reality.
✅ Structurally sound, so it can be fabricated and installed without losing its artistic integrity.
