Back in Puerto de Sagunto after a summer away, we’re exploring what’s new in Camp de Morvedre. Our goal is to support new entrepreneurs and share updates on local landmarks and events.
First stop: the new . Our entrepreneur friends have years of experience cooking authentic Italian food in restaurants across Valencia and Sagunto. They discovered this great location near Puerto de Sagunto’s beach — a former indoor children’s party park — and transformed it with creativity and talent into Aquamarina Pizza Park. The space is now a vibrant, colorful setting where you can enjoy a variety of Italian dishes.
We ordered a couple of pizzas to go, but we’ll definitely be back. The Neapolitan-style Tartufo pizza was outstanding, topped with cured ham, gorgonzola cheese, and truffle sauce. Neapolitan pizza is so culturally significant that it has been recognized by the EU as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG) and by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
At home, we paired it with tinto de verano while enjoying the Mediterranean view. Exploring their menu, we also discovered the “focaccias enrolladas” — a tribute to their grandmothers, who taught them that cooking is a way to share love and nourish both body and soul.
We invite our English-speaking community to discover their Italian cuisine — it’s much more than just pizza! 🍕🇮🇹
