We can’t believe that…

after moving from Kansas to Spain 🇪🇸 we can finally understand all of the Spanish content on . 🙌

Because a few years ago, we would have needed subtitles. 😂

So when I saw they had a new series called El Offseason, I knew Eric was going to love it!

Not only because he’s been a Kansas City Chiefs fan since he was a kid…

But because it was one of those little moments that reminded us how far we’ve come with learning Spanish. ❤️

One of the things I’ve realized since moving to Spain is that it feels like we’ve gotten something back:

Time.

Not more hours in the day.

Just the time between things.

Back in the U.S., transitions often felt rushed. Jumping in the car. Sitting in traffic. Racing to the next thing on the calendar.

But here, the walk to school, the paseo before dinner, the walk to meet friends, and the walk home together have become part of the day instead of something that happens between it.

Some of my favourite memories aren’t the big events.

They’re the conversations, hugs, laughs, and little moments that happen on the way there.

As a U.S. American family living in Spain since 2021, we’ve learned that sometimes the best parts of the day are the moments in between. ❤️🇪🇸

Our 4-year-old was born in Spain 🇪🇸 and can roll his R’s like a pro 💪
Meanwhile, I’ve been living in Spain for four and a half years and still can’t do it. 😂
Proof that language learning is a journey, not a destination. ❤️

One of the things we love most about life in La Rioja, Spain 🇪🇸 is how even the simplest moments feel special.

A quiet afternoon.

An open window.

The sound of people gathering in the plaza.

Café terraces buzzing with life.

And a view of Logroño, Spain 🇪🇸

The funny thing is 🤔…none of these lessons are really about Spain 🇪🇸

They’re about building a life somewhere new.
