Benue Girl Mvrdered by Ex-Boyfriend for Breaking Up With Him
A fast-rising interior designer, Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche, has been brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend in Lagos, months after ending their relationship.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the suspect, identified as Lintex, a native of Otukpo in Benue State, allegedly gained entry into her residence late Wednesday night after deceiving estate security that he was a dispatch rider.
According to accounts shared by activist Meddy Olotu, the suspect later scaled the fence to gain access to the compound after security raised doubts about his identity.
On reaching Deborah’s apartment, he allegedly cut the cooking gas pipe outside the house in a failed attempt to cause an explosion.
When that plan did not work, he reportedly broke into the house, confronted Deborah, and viciously attacked her with a knife, stabbing her multiple times until she d!ed.
The victim’s sister revealed that Deborah had broken up with Lintex over a year ago, but the suspect refused to move on.
“They have broken up for more than a year now, but this guy refused to move on. He keeps making statements like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, bl00d will flow,’” she recounted.
She added that Deborah, who had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and was building her career as an interior decorator, had been avoiding strange calls and unwanted advances from the suspect.
“She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” the grieving sister said.
The suspect was restrained by neighbors after the attack and later handed over to the police.
He is currently in custody as the family and activists call for justice, insisting the case must not be swept under the carpet. It’s well 😥
