🤒 𝟰𝟴 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗴𝘆!

Isn’t it funny how you finally switch off, relax and go on holiday… and your body decides NOW is the perfect time to fall apart?! 😂

So her I am, disguised as an Ironwoman, in the pool 🏊‍♀️

And then there’s Huse in the background… because apparently I’m not the only one with plans! 😂

There may just be something else I’d really like to do while we’re here… but whether I’m brave enough — or well enough — is another matter!
I'm the timid one, Huse is the mad one 👀

For now, I’m concentrating on getting rid of this blooming lurgy!

Today, we are taking on a long-haul flight over 10 hours! 😳

It’s been a while since we’ve done one long continuous flight this long ! 😬

So, long-haul travellers… we need your tips! 👇

🍻 𝗟𝗘𝗧’𝗦 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗞 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞… 👀

We all love finding a great restaurant.
A bar with a cracking view. 🌅
A cold b**r, a good cocktail, or food that makes you say wow! 😂

But most of the time....

It’s the people that bring you back. ❤️

You know what we mean!

That place where the service is just that little bit better 👌❤️

Where you’re made to feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door.

Where the staff instantly remember you and have a laugh, have a bit of banter, remember exactly what you drink and simply make you feel like you’re not just another table.

Because yes… bringing your food and drinks to the table is the job.

But some people go way beyond the job!

And sometimes that one great interaction, that bit of kindness, that brilliant sense of humour or that genuine welcome becomes part of your holiday.

So much so that when you return to Lanzarote…

You go back there.

Not necessarily because it’s the cheapest.
Not necessarily because it has the best view.
Not even necessarily because the food or drinks are the best…

You go back because of how they made you feel. ❤️

So, come on...

🍿 𝗣𝗢𝗣𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗡… 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗧? 🍿

Here we are in Madrid, waiting for The Lion King, the musical to start… and obviously we needed popcorn! 😂

Do you actually buy popcorn when you go to the cinema or theatre?

🍿 Love it — wouldn’t be the same without it
🙅‍♀️ Hate it — keep your popcorn!
💷 Or is it just MAJORLY overpriced for what is basically a bag of corn?! 😂

And be honest… do you happily pay the price, or do you sneak your own snacks in? 🤣

𝗛𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 😂🖤

Usually when Huse takes me to a concert, I’m surrounded by leather jackets, long beards, tattoos and enough testosterone to sink a battleship! 🤣

AC/DC… Metallica…Saxon, you get the picture! 🎸

But tonight is a little different…

There are actually LOADS of ladies here! 😂
Black clothes, dark hair, black eyeliner… and a definite gothic feel.

And then there’s me… 👱‍♀️🤣
Looking like I’ve accidentally wandered into the wrong queue!

We’re off to see Evanescence and Huse is absolutely loving life — especially after buying himself the obligatory T-shirt! 😂

But tomorrow…

It’s MY turn. 😉

Let’s just say we’re going from one extreme to the other! 😂

And no… I’m not telling you yet! 👀

✈️ 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗘’𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗙𝗙! 🇪🇸❤️

The holiday has officially started, well not quite, as Huse is at actually still at work and Im packing but nearly 🥂

Tomorrow, Huse and I are heading to Madrid — and because we live on a little island, Madrid is usually our first stop and where our journey begins when we’re heading further afield. ✈️

But as many of you know we usually make the most of Madrid and have a cheeky stop over for a night or two and do things we don't often get the chance to do living here 😜

So we’ve got TWO things planned while we’re there.

🎶 One involves something most of you know Huse LOVES doing when we’re in Madrid…and YES, it involves shaking his head 😂😂

🎭 And the other is something completely different and new for me...Ive clearly led a sheltered life 😂

So come on then… how well do you know us? 😂

What concert do you think we’re going to see?

What do you think we’re doing on Saturday?

One or two of you may already know let's not spoil the fun please!

And then after that, we are onward bound and I think we are in for bad weather, uh oh 😳✈️

✈️ 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧… 𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡! 🌴

Huse and I are off on our own holiday tomorrow, so from this afternoon I’m pressing pause on new holiday searches for a little while.

If you’re looking for something for October or the next few weeks, I’m really sorry, but I won’t be able to help with those.
If it’s for next year, though, send your enquiry through with as much detail as possible including dates, duration and budget as this all makes things easier for me to help you find what you're looking for!
I’ll start working through everything when I’m back.

I’m hoping to be back to normal around 17th/18th October, but I know there’ll be a BIG backlog, so please bear with me and I’ll work through messages in order. ❤️

Existing clients — don’t worry, I’ll still be keeping an eye on your bookings, although dodgy Wi-Fi and a big time difference may make me a little slower!

If you send me an enquiry and then manage to find/book something before I get back to you, please just let me know. That way I won’t spend time searching for something you’ve already sorted. 😊

And although Huse and I are away… you’re definitely not getting rid of us! 😂

We’ll still be keeping Emma’s Friends alive with plenty of Lanzarote posts, and maybe the odd little glimpse of what we’re getting up to on our travels. 🌴☀️
