‘10 5 4’ es un testimonio visual de la vida en familia, un relato íntimo y emotivo capturado por a través de la fotografía. El proyecto retrata su familia con una mirada cercana y llena de complicidad: fragmentos de vida, instantes en los que la curiosidad, el juego y la exploración se convierten en el lenguaje de la infancia. Entre aventuras y descubrimientos, la naturaleza se presenta como escenario de encuentros y aprendizajes compartidos. Lejos de ser un ejercicio premeditado, estas fotografías nacen de la necesidad de detener el tiempo, de capturar los lazos que nos unen. ‘10 5 4’ es, en última instancia, un homenaje a la familia y a la belleza de lo cotidiano.

With a delicate and personal gaze, he portrays his family in moments that go beyond mere memories. These images are fragments of life, where curiosity, play, and exploration become the language of childhood. Amid adventures and discoveries, nature and the world serve as backdrops for shared encounters and learning. Far from being a premeditated exercise, this project stems from a deep need to pause time, capturing the essence of the bonds that unite us. Ultimately, ‘10 5 4’ is a tribute to family and the beauty of everyday life.

Out now: 275 Pesetas by Esther Pérez.

The reading experience of 275 Pesetas is strongly driven by its unique binding: a double-folded perfect binding that turns each spread into a two-layer sequence. This allows the reader to either linger on the portrait photographs or explore the historical context of that particular generation. On the outside, the cover features a die-cut that interacts with the first image inspired by the original process, in which the portraits were enlarged and cropped in the lab to passport photo format.

The book is a photographic project by Esther Pérez that revisits her early days in photography in Madrid in the late 1980s. While studying at university, she supported herself by taking portrait-style photos of students alongside other young photographers. Drawing from her extensive archive, the project reflects on the social and political challenges of the era.
