Season 7 of Cheftimony is all about the steakhouse.

One of the themes that has popped up over four full episodes is that steakhouses remain popular even though it’s never been easier to make a great steak at home.

So… since I had a rare solo dinner last night…

…I cooked a steak at home.

This was a beauty of a coulotte from in Vancouver’s Yaletown.

I treated it very simply: Salt. Rest. Sear. Rest. Slice.

It was very delicious. And while not inexpensive, my evening was certainly more frugal than dining out.

Plus, nobody raised an eyebrow at my Pepsi Zero beverage pairing.

And yet.

My interest in my next steakhouse meal hasn’t diminished one bit.

There’s something else going on. Great steakhouses are doing something beyond great food.

Joining me today is the incredible Chef Nicole Brisson, , who creates outstanding Italian food AND some of the best steaks you will ever encounter at her fantastic in Resorts World Las Vegas.

Seriously, Chef knows beef. Nicole helmed the kitchen at the legendary Carnevino (home to the best steak I’ve ever had) and keeps that dry-aged magic happening now at Brezza. If you have not had a meal at one of Chef’s restaurants, don’t wait any longer!

Also on the show today are three great voices from the Vegas podcasting community. You’ll hear from Mark DeVol and Dr. Mike from You Can Bet on That and Adam Bauer of the Handy at the Chandy podcast.
