Preparation undertaken to provide consumer products at affordable prices for the upcoming Christmas- Addis Ababa City Cooperative Agency
The Addis Ababa City Cooperative Agency announced that it has made adequate preparations to supply various consumer products and other consumer goods, including agricultural products, to the consumer community at affordable prices for next week's Christmas.
Addis Ababa City Cooperative Agency has completed its preparatory work to provide various agricultural and industrial products to the consumer community at affordable prices so as not to create inflation in connection with Christmas, the agency's director general, Woubneh Emru, said.
The agency has established market linkages with producers' unions in Oromia and Amhara regions. The Director General of the Agency, Wubneh Emru, said the preparatory work has been completed.
Cooperative shops in all 11 sub-cities have also been set up to sell chicken and eggs at various places, especially in Gulele, Arat Kilo, Air Health, Kolfe and 18 Mazoria areas, he said.
According to information obtained from the Addis Ababa City Press Secretariat, the Director General urged the consumer community to trade while protecting themselves from the COVD-19 epidemic.
