The Kingdom of Camelot: Our Recurring Team Meeting

Imagine a scene straight out of a Camelot movie. Welcome to our "Camelot Meeting" or, as we fondly call it, "The House of Departments." Let us give you a glimpse into the magic of our gatherings.

Much like the legendary Knights of Camelot, we convene around our round table (laptops as our modern-day swords) to reflect on our journey and accomplishments from each department. We delve into progress reports on the business processes we're championing, sharing insights and strategies to enhance and sustain our value while keeping our community engaged.

In our sessions, we also celebrate playful and effective training and workshops, the successful events we've hosted with partners, and the exciting endeavors led by our growing startup, Chewaa Awaqi Events. We provide updates on the "Green Pill Summer Internship" project, designed to empower our team with unique skills. Additionally, we discuss improvements to our online game stores, making it easier for our community to purchase our latest offerings.

As the guardians of our community, we share stories of our victories and map out our next steps, ensuring a prosperous and vibrant future for all.

Kung fu panda Workshop

“No one does training like WE do!!!”
We, Efuye Gelas, just had our Kung fu panda Workshop”, yes you heard it “The Kung Fu Panda Workshop”, and yes it’s about the animated movie. Our Saturday workshops always have a dose of genius with a pint of crazy.

It would be ironic if our workshops were dull and not exciting, after all we are the home of Chewata Awaqi - ጨዋታ አዋቂ

This week's workshop is based on the movie Kung Fu Panda. We each were given an assignment to see all 3 trailages of the movie and choose our favorite and worst character…….. Then during the workshop, came the dissection of our characters and what they resemble and what our association with them could mean. It was a self introspection and team bonding session.

In addition, our Saturdays are also where we learn something new from one another and also reflect on our week's progress.

Work-Life Balance??? Where Does Work Stop and Life Start? Should the corporate world care about employee’s lives?

We, Efuye Gelas, are against the Work-Life Balance mantra. We believe Work is the scent of Life and Life is the lab for Work. And a company’s performance is the sum of its worker’s quality of life. We believe, Investing on our Team’s' quality of life is investing in a company's growth. The real question should be, how should company’s invest in people’s lives and how much is too much and how much is enough to invest?

This week, we traded spreadsheets for soccer match) for our regular team-building session. Why? Because fostering connection, fun, and a sense of "like" among colleagues has a real impact on our success.

WEZE Session

we are thrilled to share the latest from the Weze campaign! As part of STEP initiative, we’ve developed a dynamic game toolkit that's revolutionizing how we approach training, training toolkits, and educational games. This approach is transforming how we raise awareness about decent work among workers, managers, in-company trainers, TVET instructors, and students.

Our gamified strategy creates fun and interactivity into every aspect of learning. Through interactive challenges, simulations, and rewards, participants engage deeply in understanding what decent work truly entails. They explore their own work environments, rights, and behaviors, and discover practical strategies to tackle workplace challenges—all while enjoying an immersive experience!
