In Yei River County, Central Equatoria State, Where the river’s soft whispers weave dreams from the start, Green hills rise in silence, with beauty profound, Yet scars of old conflicts still linger around.
The river flows with grace, through the valleys and plains, Its waters reflect both the joy and the pains. The fields, rich with promise, yearn for days of calm, Where hands sow the seeds, not the tools of alarm.
Oh, end the fierce wars that have torn at this land, Let rifles fall silent, let peace lend a hand. The children of Yei, with their laughter so bright, Deserve starry evenings untouched by the fight.
The mango trees watches, its roots deep and wise, It’s seen too much sorrow beneath troubled skies. Let markets hum gently, with colors and cheer, In Yei River County, let love conquer fear.
Unite, oh dear people, let harmony bloom, Replace battle’s echo with hope’s sweet perfume. For Yei’s gentle river, its flow pure and free, Sings peace for the county, for you, and for me.
