Canada, with its values, reputation for peace-making and peacekeeping, and status as a trusted and respected nation, should focus on strengthening its engagement with African countries through trade and investment.
Canada can empower African nations while creating mutually beneficial partnerships, economic growth, and shared prosperity for both Canada and Africa.

Comparing the services provided years ago with those of today, Ethiopia's reform has brought remarkable improvements to many public organizations, including EEU. I am proud of the progress being made, especially in the quick response to repair requests and the commitment to providing safe and reliable electricity to communities. I believe EEU has the potential to become one of the best public service organizations, even by international standards.
That is why I was concerned to hear that around 60 households in the Ropac community of Legetafo have reportedly been without electricity for the past five days. Residents are said to have been asked to pay 25,000 Birr each to restore power.
If this information is true, I have a few questions:
Is this request officially from EEU?
Isn't the maintenance of the main electricity distribution lines the responsibility of EEU?
Should residents be expected to pay such a large amount for power restoration?
I respectfully urge the relevant authorities to investigate this matter. I sincerely hope this is nothing more than a misunderstanding or a scam and not an official EEU practice.

ተራራ ያልበገሩት እጆች ! ኢሳያስ መብራቱ
በሚኖርበት መንደር እብዱ እያሉ ይጠሩታል፡፡ ዳሻራት ማንድሂ ይባላል ፡፡ ህንዳዊው ገበሬ እበድ ያስባለውን ሀሳብ ወደ ተግባር ለመለወጥ ያነሳሳው ነብሰ ጡር ባለቤቱ ባንድ ወቅት በጋጠማት ያልታሰበ አደጋ ህይወቷ በማለፉ ነበር፡፡ የሚኖሩበት አካባቢ መንገድ የለውም ፡፡ ነዋሪው ከአንዱ መንደር ወደ ከተማው መጓዝ ሲፈልግ የግድ ተራራ እና ገደል ማቋረጥ ግድ ይለው ነበር፡፡
የዳሻራት ማንድሂ ነብሰ ጡር ባለቤት እንደተለመደው ከመኖርያ ቤቷ በማለዳ ወጥታ ውሃ ለማምጣት በገደሉ አፋፍ ስትጓዝ ድንገት ያዳልጣት እና ወድቃ ክፉኛ አደጋ ይገጥማታል፡፡ ክፉኛ የደነገጠው ማንጂሂ ከመንደሩ በቅርበት ወደሚገኝ ሆስፒታል ለመሄድ የሚኖርባትን መንድር ከአዋሳኝ ኩታገጠም ከተማ ጋር የለያየውን ተራራ በመተው ዙርያ ጥምጥም 70 ከ.ሜ አድካሚ የእግር ጉዛ ማድረግ ግድ ብሎት ነበር ፡፡
አርፍዶ ህክምና ቦታ የደረሰው ማንጂሂ በተራራው ሳቢያ ሚስቱን አካለ ስንኩል ብቻ አደለም ያደረጋት ቆይቶም ሕይወቷን ጭምር እንድታጣ ምክንያት ሆነ፡፡ ይህ ጥቁር ጠባሳ ልጆቿን ጥላለት በሄደችው በሚስቱ ማቆሚያ ሊበጅለት ይገባል ያለው ህንዳዊው ገበሬ እብድ ያስባለውን ሀሳብ እ.ኤ.አ በ1960 የነበሩትን ሶስት ፍየሎች በመሸጥ አንድ ዶማ፣ አንድ ሽብልቅ፣ አንድ መሮ ይዞ ሀሳብን ወደ ተግባር ፣ አይቻልምን ወደ ይቻላል ለመቀየር ስራውን ሀ ብሎ ጀመረ ፡፡
በህንድ ገጠራማው መንደር አይነኬውን የጌህሉርን ተራራን አፍርሶ ከተራራው ወድያ ማዶ ዙርያ ጥምጥም ለትምህርት ፣ለጤና ፣ለንግድ ብዙ ቀናትን የሚጓዙ የመንደሩ ሰዎችን በቅርበት ለማገናኘት ያለመ ስራውን ጀመረ፡፡ ማንጂሂ ስራውን ሲጀምር አብዛኞቹ የአካባቢው ነዋሪዎች ሊሳካ እንደማይችል ደግመው ደጋግመው ቢነግሩትም እሱ ግን አሻፈረኝ ብሎ 110 ሜትር ርዝመት ፣ 8 ሜትር ከፍታ እና 9 ሜትር የጎን ስፋት ያለውን የጌህሉርን ተራራን መናዱን ተያያዘው፡፡
ቀናቶች አለፉ እብዱ ገበሬም የመንገድ ግንባታ ስራው ፈር እየያዘለት ሄደ ፡፡ በቆይታ ብዛትም አዳዲስ ፈጠራን ይሞክር ጀመር፡፡ ለምሳሌ አልፈነቀል ያለ ቋጥኝ ሲገጥመው በእሳት እየለበለበ ቀጥሎም ውሃ እየረጨ አለቱን ወደ ኮረት የሚለውጥበት ብልሃት ፈጠረ፡፡ ተራራውም እየተለወጠ መንገድ መምሰል ሲጀምር ፊታቸውን ያዞሩ የመንደሩ ሰዎች ሁላ ተደስተው ድጋፋቸውን በማሳየት ምግብና ውሃ ያቀርቡለት ጀመር ፡፡ ወድያው እብዱ የሚለው መጠሪያውም ተለውጦ ``የተራራው ሰው`` ተብሎ ተቀየረለት፡፡
ከ22 አመታት አድካሚ ስራ በኋላ እ.ኤ.አ በ1982 የመንገድ ስራው ተጠናቀቀ፡፡ የተራራው ሰው 70 ኪ.ሜ ዙርያ ጥምጥም ጉዞን አዲስ በቀደደው መንገድ ወደ 1 ኪ.ሜ አሳጥሮ ታሪክ አደረገው ፡፡ ዛሬ ላይ በትንሷ ቀዩው የሚኖሩ ነብሰ ጡር እናቶች፣ትንንሽ ህጻናት ያለ ምንም እንግልት ሲሻቸው በእግር ሲሻቸው በአውቶሞቢል ይጓዙበታል፡፡
ደሻርዝ ማንዲ በአንድ ዶማ፣በአንድ ሽብልቅ እና በአንድ መሮ ሀሳብን ወደ ተግባር ፣ አይቻልም ወደ ይቻላል ቀይሮ ከመንደሩም አልፎ ለአለምም ምሳሌ ሊሆን በቃ፡፡
ከዚህ በመነሳት ውድ አንባቢዎች በተሰማራቹበት ዘርፍ ስኬታማ ለመሆን በእያንዳንዱ ውሳኔያችሁ ሂደት ላይ ውጤታማነታችሁን ማረጋገጥ ወሳኝ ነው፡፡ ውጤታማ መሆናችሁ ምኞታችሁን ለማሳካት ይጠቅማችኃልና ነው፡፡ አብዛኞቹ ስኬታማ ሰዎች በውጤታማነት የተካኑ ናቸው፡፡ ምክንያቱም በብልጠት ስለሚሰሩ፣ አላስፈላጊ ጥረትን ስለሚያስቀሩ እና ጊዜያቸውን ስለማያባክኑ ነው፡፡

👉👉ብዙ ጊዜ ውድቀት ከስኬት ቀድሞ ይመጣል ነገር ግን በእያንዳንዱ ውድቀት ውስጥ ለስኬትህ የሚያበቃህን ትምህርት ትማራለህ። በአዕምሮህ ውስጥ ትልቅ ነገር አስብ ምክንያቱም አብዛኛዉን ጊዜ እኛ የምንሆነው በአዕምሯችን ውስጥ በምስጢር የምናስበውን ነው ለዚህም ነው ብዙ ጊዜ ሰዎች የሚታዩበት ቦታ ሳይሆን የማይታሰቡበት ቦታ የሚደርሱት።
👉👉እያንዳንዱን ውጤትህን በሰበሰብከው ምርት ሳይሆን በዘራኸው ዘርና ተንከባክበህ ባሰደከው ሰብል መዝነው፤ ያልዘሩትን ምርት ሰብስበው እራሳቸውን እንደ ስኬታማ የሚቆጥሩ ብዙ ተባዮች ስላሉ ፈፅሞ እነሱን ላለመሆን ተጠንቀቅ።

have just returned from the devastating landslides and floods triggered by heavy rainfall in Gamo Zone, Gacho Baba District, Laka Kebele (ጋጮ ባባ ወረዳ ላካ ቀበሌ) and the surrounding areas—not far from where my mother once lived.
About 12,000 individuals and 2,500 households have been affected. The often-forgotten villagers who quietly sustain themselves through farming are now in crisis. Those of us who claim to be civilized, educated, and informed must also share some responsibility. At the very least, we could have shared what we know about floods and the risks caused by heavy rainfall.
It is time to wake up and plan for the future.
