This report addresses one of the most alarming and rapidly escalating threats of our time — micro- and nanoplastics, which have already become a factor in a planetary crisis. It represents a large-scale, unprecedented scientific analysis that exposes nanoplastics as a hidden but systemic destroyer of both nature and human health.

The report was first presented at the Vatican in May 2025. The authors from ALLATRA were inspired to create this work by the personal blessing given by His Holiness Pope Francis to the ALLATRA International Public Movement and its volunteers in 2024, as well as by his encouragement to continue efforts in preserving our shared home — planet Earth.

The report presents shocking scientific data on the scale and consequences of micro- and nanoplastic pollution:

The rapid spread of microplastics across all environments of the biosphere — from the depths of the oceans to the air we breathe;

The detection of plastic particles in water, food, and the human body — regardless of geographic location;

The integration of these particles into food chains and their ability to bypass natural protective barriers, including pe*******on into the brain and across the placenta;

The accumulation of nanoplastics in organs and tissues, with health consequences that may take years to manifest;

Alarming and destructive effects on human health, including:
– Inflammation, DNA damage, and mutations
– Disruption of the endocrine system
– Accelerated cellular aging
– Impaired memory and cognitive function
– Reproductive issues, including erectile dysfunction and infertility
– An increase in cancer rates

His address also focuses on the catastrophic changes unfolding in the Earth's atmosphere and hydrosphere, driven by cyclical astronomical processes, the activation of the Siberian magma plume, and the pollution of the oceans with microplastics.

The scientific community now faces the urgent task of rethinking outdated climate models and developing new approaches to studying the planet’s dynamics, as the increasing frequency of extreme weather events and geodynamic disasters threatens humanity's survival.

The video devotes special attention to the alarming activity of the Siberian magma plume — a geophysical phenomenon capable of triggering a global catastrophe on the scale of mass extinction. ALLATRA at the Vesuvius Volcanological Observatory: Scientific Dialogue on the Global Geodynamic Situation and Campi Flegrei 🌋

🌐 On May 13, 2025, representatives of the ALLATRA International Public Movement were received at the Volcanological Observatory in Ercolano (Naples) by Professor of Geophysics Roberto Scarpa and geologist, volcanologist, and director of the observatory Mauro Di Vito for an exclusive interview about the situation in the Campi Flegrei area and the current global geodynamic background.

The interview took place in the monitoring room of the Neapolitan volcanic systems (Vesuvius, Campi Flegrei, Ischia) at the very moment when the region was struck by one of the strongest seismic swarms in the last 40 years, with a maximum magnitude of 4.4. Despite the emergency, we managed to ask Director Di Vito a few questions.

The dialogue continued with Professor Roberto Scarpa, Honorary Professor of Geology and Volcanology at the University of Salerno and a board member of INGV, who provided detailed insights into his team's current research on volcanic eruption forecasting methods.

Also present via video link was Dr. Anastasia Pashigreva, representing the Department of Earth Analytical Research at the ALLATRA IPM. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has worked at prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford and the Technical University of Munich. Dr. Pashigreva presented key points from the ALLATRA team’s scientific report on the global development of seismic and volcanic events.

ALLATRA International Public Movement and the Creative Society project, in collaboration with Bolivia’s Vice Ministry of Civil Defense, successfully concluded a four-day seminar titled “Civil Defense and National Security Strategies in Response to the Climate Threat in Bolivia.”

This high-level event brought together military leaders, civil defense specialists, and scientists to exchange knowledge and coordinate actions in response to the growing climatic and geodynamic risks facing the country. Participants included high-ranking commanders and officers from the three branches of Bolivia’s Armed Forces—Army, Navy, and Air Force—alongside specialized civil defense and emergency management units.

The seminar addressed urgent issues related to natural disasters, anthropogenic factors, and the need to integrate technological innovations into risk management. Among the most prominent topics was ALLATRA’s pioneering analysis of emerging threats such as micro- and nanoplastics, which have implications for health and the geodynamic threat of the Siberian magmatic plume was presented—a phenomenon with potentially global impacts that is influencing climatic and geodynamic stability.
