Many people have been asking why GCI Media has not yet received the blue verification tick 🔵

Today, we want to clarify to all GCI followers the reasons behind this.

GCI is a media platform that has been advocating since its establishment. Over time, we have posted numerous videos, many of which have conflicted with Facebook’s community standards. This includes the video where Gambella police members killed an innocent Highlander inside the Gambella police commission office, which led to the arrest of former Gambella police Commissioner Mr. Abula Obang and his deputy Tutlit Khor.

Secondly, we continue to face threats and reports aimed at shutting down our page. Many of these come from agents hired by the Gambella government, attempting to hack and silence GCI.

Because of these challenges, GCI has not yet been verified with a blue tick nor monetised. We will continue our work until the situation changes.
