Statement on the Gambella Cabinetโ€™s Decision Regarding Clean Drinking Water in the Anyuak Zoneโ€ผ๏ธ

The Regional State Cabinet has recently discussed and approved a plan to provide clean drinking water to three kebeles within the Anyuak Zone. The selected areas are , , and . The Gambella Regional Government has allocated a budget to ensure that these communities gain access to clean and potable drinking water.

While this decision represents a positive step for the residents of these kebeles, it raises concerns about fairness and inclusivity. Why has the Gambella Cabinet approved clean water projects exclusively for the Anyuak Zone only while residents of Gambella City continue to struggle with unreliable access to safe drinking water?

Access to clean water is a basic right, and all citizens of the Gambella region whether in urban or rural areas deserve equal attention and support.

This decision is not fair, and we urge the regional government to reconsider its approach, prioritizing improvements in Gambella City before extending such projects to lower-level kebeles and other areas within the region.

Many people know that ๐˜ฝ๐™ž๐™œ ๐˜พ๐™๐™–๐™ข has made many innocent Nuer people victims. He has been arrested several times in connection with murder cases, theft, looting, and other crimes he has committed in the region.

It is also widely known that some Anyuak youth and gunmen were often manipulated or forced by senior Anyuak politicians to commit crimes, including killing innocent people in the region, all for the sake of maintaining their political positions.

In fact, many people in the region are aware that there is a group of Anyuak politicians who mobilize funds to hire youth and send them to kill whoever they decide to eliminate.

Finally, if our youth come to their senses and refuse to be manipulated by these criminal leaders, and if both Anyuak and Nuer youths say no to them, the future of this region will be bright for all of us.
